huge hooks bouncy bass lines and a big sing a long chorus that will leaving you smiling from side to side once you have finished singing along word for word The song runs for just under 4minutes and it goes through so many twists and turns within that time but keeps the melody and big sound throughout Just by listening to For Those Who Paved The way I realise that

strong sounding loud and clear vocals you just know that the next 52 minutes are going to be a good listen especially as the Mob Is Back takes you on a high energy stadium rock journey Come On Get Up features some real meaty riffs running throughout and some truly mouth watering solos The song really flows with pure heaviness but at the same time when the chorus kicks in things become melodic and that is exactly what makes Adrenaline Mob such an accessible band the fact that they have brought the perfect mix of heaviness and melodicness to the table and used it to their advantage to create songs that not only are the head bangers of the metal generation going to love but so are the radio worshippers who happen to stumble across the band Dearly Departed is quite a serious sounding middle of the road song which sounds great but doesn t stand out as much as other songs on the album Behind These Eyes see s the band go down the ballad route where they come across sounding so similar to Alter Bridge when they go down the serious route Let It Go Really does so off the song writing skills of Adrenaline Mob as the song has so much going on with the basslines from John Mayor standing out in such a positive to the big explosive chorus Feel The Adrenaline was one of the songs which originally got me interested in Adrenaline Mob and all you need to do is listen to a minute of the song to understand why as it s a big fist in the air chant a long rock n roll anthem The album title track Men Of Honor see s things tone down again and leaves you thinking that

the biggest of metal fans having wet dreams The lead vocals are really brutal which sound something in between Anders Friden from In Flames and Dani Filth from Cradle Of A Filth the guitar solo during the song is extremely melodic and there is also moments more sing along style vocals come in to mix things up and add variety to the song The rest of the album follows on pretty well from Hedonist more of the same formula is used in each and every song but why not when you know the sound you have developed works really well Songs like Manifest Humility and Dying Art are great in the way that they have that perfect melodic vs hardcore mixed sound You can Cleary see what bands Adversary are influenced by just by listening to their debut album but at the same time they manage to keep things original and have developed their own sound that stands out really well you have bands like Trivium killswitch Engage Slipknot etc and you can tell it s their songs on the radio just by listening to a couple of seconds of their music Adversary totally have this feel to and it will be more so when they become bigger and are played on music stations on a daily basis The kind of metal I like is something that doesn t fuck about when it comes to heavy riffs power and aggressiveness and also has a mixed range of vocals which range from rip your bollocks off screams to the more melodic sing along style of vocals and this is exactly the style of metal that Adversary play and its recorded pretty damn well on their debut album Singularity If you are fans of any of the bands mentioned above then you

scene has changed that drastically it will be a can they still push their legendary status not only with the long standing fan base but with a younger generation to contend with or are they facing a decline from the top With the band s style over the years twisting and turning in regards to style and approach it was impossible to have any assumptions here the previous album focused more on the classic rock and roll approach which is also present here with this new material also but not as retro feeling I really am finding myself struggling to put words to the material it s there though the rock and roll style their grittier side is still present too and Tyler s voice is still going strong but I just don t know I have a standing connection to the song Beautiful for me that really is the kind of thing the band should push forward because whilst songs like Oh Yeah and Out Go The Lights are good they just don t have that feeling that the classic Aerosmith hits have which is what made them hits I really can t put my finger on it Honestly I think I should post another review in about 6 weeks time as this may be a grower over time this material may become more and more appealing as a lot of the material out there is but as it stands my first impressions aren t bad but they aren t over the moon fantastic like they were for Pump or Nine Lives To be fair to live up to songs like Walk This Way Dude Looks Like A Lady Going Down Love In An Elevator Crazy I Don t Wanna Miss A Thing I could go on all day

balls about Affordable Hybrid It s that scruffy catchy indie punk sound with the dual vocals that are a bit all over the place but really on the spot at the same time you know The album opens with Jim Jones which is enough to wet your appetite and set you up for what s to come Faces and Ego Blues are a couple that stand out early on It s all fairly upbeat and the album maintains oomph the short tracks aiding the experience They re all punchy numbers real winners No break downs just start to finish blam blam blam Before you know it it s over and although you re a little confused what just happened you know you loved every second of it Straight To You is another good un They also remind me of this band called Hunting The Minotaur who were one of the bands supporting Haunts in a tiny venue in Southampton So that probably meant nothing to 95 of you But basically it s good Very good 4 5 5 Review by Thom Band Members Joel Eriksson Guitar Lars Löfgren Bass Vocals Mikael Björklund Drums Samuel Järpvik Guitar Vocal Track Listing 1

side Over And Out are solid tracks Listen And Leave has a massive sound and is an adrenalin fuelled dance meets rock music track the song has fast paced dance beats and synths running throughout with meaty sounding guitar riffs crashing in and out by the side of the electronic dance synths the vocals are fast and raw sounding for the most of the song but turn slightly melodic for the more sing a long chorus AFD Shift sure know how to make a big catchy noise and it seems like they don t find time to come up for air The b side Over And Out starts off how it means to carry on and that s fast and furious the vocals are just as raw as ever with that nu metal style rock meets hip hop vocals the song is enjoyable and has the potential to be a single release on its own but at the same time it s not as good sounding as the main single Give AFD Shift 5 minutes of your life and listen to Listen Then Leave and Over And Out as during the songs you will notice that the band have a

I couldn t get into this song but after about ten more listens I m no closer to getting into this song The bands sound is electro dance mixed with hip hop and rock and roll So just imagine mixing Limp Bizkit with The Prodigy and Jay Z and what do you get A hell of a lot going on and too much to take in and that is exactly what s happened with Crusader The music itself is fast paced and catchy but the vocals are too rough and raw for the bands music The b side Breathing Space in my opinion is slightly better than the actual single and has a little less going on at once making it slightly easier to get into the song is quite catchy in places especially when the backing vocals come in Also included on the single is a live version of Crusader but the quality of the song is pretty poor and you need to turn your stereo up a few extra notches to be able to hear it Overall AFD Shift don t do anything for me it s like they are trying to bring something new to the music
