new horizon wanna break through for a new horizon Leave With Nothin is another solid rock n roll track which sounds like something you would expect from Led Zepplin or Deep Purple back in the 70 s the song is massive sounding and from start to finish you will be impressed with the massive riffs and catchy basslines Spectacular is the lead single to be taken from the album and the song really does live up to its title as the song has Cleary been written for the live circuit and is the kind of song which is guaranteed to get a crowd of people jumping for joy and it doesn t matter if The Answer are playing to 100 or 10 000 people this song will truly bring a venue to life especially when the epic chorus kicks in Speak Now see s The Answer tone things done a bit and go down a more slow paced darker route where over time the song starts to build up into a catchy number where Cormac Neeson screams out speak now or forever hold your tongue over and over again whilst a tasty guitar solo graces the airwaves towards the later part of the song Somebody Else is a big and bouncy sounding track which sounds totally different from anything else on the album as the song has a bit of a punk edge running through it and the drum beats from James Heatley are just fantastic and really help drive the song Call Yourself A Friend see s The Answer go down the slow paced balled route and it works extremely well as you take in each and every word Cormac Neeson sings out Burn You Down is a big catchy fist pumping song whilst the album closer Scream a

copies of their new album then nothing will as the song is a big sing a long stadium rock anthem where Cormac Neeson s vocals sound bigger and more mature than ever before instrumentally things live up to the song name with the band putting everything into the song with pounding drum beats big riffs and amazing rhythm running throughout As soon as the new album drops on the 30th

That gritty tone is still in play here but they ve brought it back to a much better balance I almost forgot to begin thinking about reviewing the album because every time I turn it on I whip my head all over the place causing myself neck trauma it s great to see a band still pushing the boundaries of a classic style Trouble really brings out the bands blues roots harmonica s sharp twangy tones and appropriate pace such a great thing to come across when band s encompassing the blues style are in short supply There s one song which quite frankly has one of the most beautiful duet s I have ever heard It s called Nowhere Freeway and features the vocal talents of a Miss Lynne Jackaman who is the lead vocalist for Saint Jude due to the higher pitch of The Answer s vocalist Cormac Neeson the pair s vocal lines blend together quite naturally never before have I heard 2 voices work together in such harmony on one song I ve gone through it a fair few times now I have been expecting some fillers to be in place to space out some truly amazing tracks but there really isn t any every track on the album has the band s heart and soul flooded into it each track is a standalone anthem in its own right whether it s the powerful One More Revival the infectious Na na na na na na s of Vida I Want You or the sweet ringing tones from Lights Are Down each track has its own unique characteristics to gain attention This is definitely a record that s going on my list of contenders for my number 1 spot this year The band from what I witnessed

The Answer have grown over such a short period of time and everyone who has seen them live over the past year or so will also see how they have grown on the live circuit anyway back to Comfort Zone the single version of the song has had a slight remix and sounds slightly different from what you would remember but the song is still that powerful ballad that you first fell in love with Cormac Neeson takes you on a beautiful sounding journey with his loving vocals The b side is a rocking song called Here To Stay the song sounds more like AC DC than any other material from The Answer but then AC DC should still be strong in their head as they have been touring across the world with the guys for the past 12 months or so The other b side is an acoustic version of Comfort Zone and in my opinion it is better than the main version of the song but that is because I do have a big soft spot for acoustic music and The Answer sure know how to knock out acoustic tunes The Answer are on a journey to the

current album Everyday demons the song is a really upbeat classic rock song it has the classic guitar riffs that you have come to expect and appreciate from The Answer as well as a huge sounding guitar solo that will excite you front man Cormac Neeson s vocals are just as loud and clear as ever and the song happens to be one of the main standout tracks from their current album The main b side to the single is an acoustic version of Tonight and it proves to be such a good listen hearing The Answer play a totally stripped down version of one of their songs and still managing to sound like they are rocking out The other song features on the single is Dead Of The Night the song is featured on the current album and is about Belfast town and what it s like their at night time the song is really upbeat and once again features some stunning riffs and major catchy moments 2009 is already proving to be the most important and successful year for The Answer to date their new album Everyday Demons has been doing extremely well they have already supported AC

Evil Man The album opens up fast and furious with Demon Eyes which starts off with a great big guitar riff and Cormac Neeson s strong sounding vocals coming in seconds later the guitar riffs throughout the song are outstanding seriously this would even get the old boys with stiff bones up and moving rocking out to the seriously rocking melodic beats the guitar solo towards the end of the song is breathtaking and guitarist Paul Mahon deserves respect for his work here Too Far Gone is another straight out rocking song but this time around it opens up with big drum rolls before Cormac Neeson s every so distinctive catchy rock vocals come in along with some classic rock guitar riffs the chorus is extremely catchy with Cormac Neeson singing Too far gone too far gone with such passionate energy if this song doesn t get you moving along then there must be something wrong with you as even I am finding myself tapping my foot along and tapping my desk whilst writing this review On And On is yet another fast rock song with a huge sing along chorus that is also crammed with stunning guitar solos and generally amazing instrumental work Cry Out is the token slow song after three hard hitting powerful rock songs I think it s a nice place for a slow song to come in the song has a bit of a blues edge to it and is a really easy listening song that touches into soft rock Things pick up in sound again for Why d You Change Your Mind well to be fair it takes at least a minute as the introduction to the song is really mellow but when it reaches its peak and the song fully takes off its

the guitar riffs are true rock god style riffs that many wannabee guitarists will be sat in their bedrooms trying to master Cormic Neeson s vocals are as strong sounding as ever and overall the song is very listenable and enjoyable True fans of The Answer will love On And On and anyone else who likes the sound and fell of rock music from the 80 s as The Answer

track stand out and gives it a stadium rock feel where everyone s gets their lighters in the air swaying about to the song The b side to the single is a cover of Aerosmith s Sweet Emotion where The Answer show they can rock out as good as there idols Aerosmith The Answer are a talented foursome and show that they can rock as hard as bands such as
