pleasing on the ears I Swear is yet another beastly track it is the kind of song you want to listen to in your car where the volume is up loud the windows are wide open and you are carefully tapping your steering wheel to the spot on drum beats whilst bopping your feet to the infectious sounds and screaming along to the vocals of Alex Green whilst ever so carefully doing your best to drive to your usual standards Why Do I Care At All is an infectious song from start to finish the instrumental work from the band are on top form again whilst Alex Green drops the gruff vocals and goes for more straight forward infectious singing with a few screams thrown in for good measures which are backed up by gang vocals from the band When Dead In The Water get s going it becomes a massive sounding song with soaring vocals and big constant drum beats with a big angry vibe coming through the speakers as the song progresses to its climax To The Rats starts off in quite a laid back way compared to the rest of the EP with minimal sounding instrumental work and slow paced chant a long vocals from Alex Green which see s him chant Where are you going now did you stop taking care of yourself you look burnt out you re looking frail before the whole band come in for the explosive chorus which is bound to cause a scene in the mosh pit at future shows The EP closes with the recent single release Take A Bow and it is the perfect way to close the EP as the song features everything from big build ups classic break downs standout drum beats driving guitar riffs clean cut

come together to deliver the goods in a solid way the drum beats are huge and constant the bass has a bit of bounce whilst the guitars are super charged with some huge chugging riffs coming and going whilst vocalist Alex Green let s a lot of anger out with his aggressive screams and shouts Despite a few up s and down s during their career so far I feel

big guitar riffs for the first 10seconds which then come to a sudden holt as Alex Green came s in with his vocals as the song progresses the guitars come back more charged and aggressive than before as Green goes on a fantastic ride with his vocals which change from standard singing to more shouty moments in a split second It is easy to see how Attention Thieves have become

Thieves are a super talented band who need to be watched over the next couple of years as they have a solid sound where they play loud fast and clear Bring Yourself to Justice is a big sounding straight up rock and roll track where the guitar riffs are beefy the vocals are clear and beautiful sounding whilst the raw shouty backing vocals adds extra chunkiness to the song Can t Say is another beast of a song with crunching riffs big chant a long vocals and generally a massive sounding 3minute jamming session where Attention Thieves proper rock out whilst creating the stand out track of the EP We Won t Live Forever closes the EP and it showcases Attention Thieves as a band who like to experiment with their sound as the song opens with a massive flurry of big sounding instrumental work before dipping back down to let the softly sounding vocals come in before building up again with a loud moment of instrumental noise before dipping back down again and so on Listening to Look A Little Closer makes me want to head out and check out attention Thieves on the live circuit as they have

and clapping sounds which in all honesty is a bit to mellow for my liking but then 20seconds later the song gets beefed up with bigger and better electronic sounds and then when you think the song can t get any better it takes even further twists and turns through electronic territory s whilst Joseph Sigee s vocals in such a positive catchy way Overall Auction have come up with

the bravest moves The Audition have ever made as they have slightly changed their sound and proper toned their production and pretty much hand their filthy hands all over the EP with full control and it has really paid off as Chapter 2 has 6 really listenable songs and showcases The Audition sounding better than they ever have The EP opens with Who Do You Think You Are which is a pure pop punk song that sounds as smooth and sexual as the music of Panic At The Disco and All Time Low put into a blender for a big arse crazy mix it s extremely bouncy sounding with Danny Stevens giving his best vocal performance to date You Make Me Sick see s The Audition knock out some great acoustic sounds whilst Danny Stevens takes you on an infectious ride with his melodic vocals which really shine and stand out during the pop tastic chorus which is so big sounding that it would make a Giraffe feel small Evil is about as evil as any of your favourite Disney Pixar movies in the way that it is very far from evil instead in is yet another slice of infectious material from The Audition and another solid sounding song under their belts The rest of the EP continues in a catchy way but see s The Audition verging on a more rock based sound with soothing vocals running throughout Back And Forth and You Gotta Believe whilst the EP closer Talkin see s the band fully rock out and close the EP in style Considering that I have never been a major fan of The Audition I feel they have done amazingly well with Chapter 2 I am not sure how it will go down with existing fans of the

the vocals are guttural and mostly incoherent but that s to be expected really There are is some decent guitar work when it gets away from the flat out grinding and blasting at break neck speed there are some progressive elements that appear in random places Some of the tracks drag on a bit so could have been trimmed down a bit The Bass playing is pretty decent especially on

are chunky and you can totally notice the introduction of the second guitar and it fits in perfectly The poppyness of the previous singles from The Automatic is no where to be seen here but saying that the song does still feature a really huge catchy chorus however this time around its pulled off in a really rocking way Not long after the single release of Steve McQueen The Automatic offered their fans a chance to download the title track from their new album This Is a Fix many days before the albums release date if you signed up to the mailing list on their website this was an opportunity that I jumped at and I was pleased to hear that the song had a similar feel to Steve McQueen with the way that the song was a straight out rock song with no poppyness in sight I have now got my hands on the new album from The Automatic and I have to say that it s a really good listen and is a pure rock album from the start of the opening track Responsible Citizen right until the last bit of noise from the finishing track Light Entertainment Responsible Citizen is a great track to open the album straight away you will notice that things are heavier this time around and also that they have developed a more mature sound the song has a huge sing along fists in the air style chorus that s bound to become a fan favourite at future gigs The next track on the album is the current single Steve McQueen which quite simply rocks The real fun starts when you get to track 3 and 4 which happens to be Accessories and Magazines these two songs are my favourite songs on the album but I can t quite decide which song I like the most and I don t think I will ever be able to make a final decision on which one I like the most as both songs are enjoyable for totally different reasons Accessories is a really radio friendly song it will quite possibly become a future single for the band the guitar riffs are still quite chunky and the bass line gives the song a bit of a bouncy feel the vocals are loud and clear and just after a few listens you will find yourself singing along to the ever so catchy chorus of where do I connect with this machine we have become accessories Magazines is another track that has future single written all over it the song is really melodic and has a bit of a soulful edge to it the lyrics are really catchy and once again you will find yourself singing along in no time at all There are a lot more highlights on This Is a Fix such as Bad Guy the song is really fast and quite easy to get into Secret Police has a bit of an old skool feel
