clear yeah in such a beautiful way Welcome To The Family is a happy sounding song which sounds so similar to the style of the music featured on the last Avenged Sevenfold album the song flows at such a fast pace and once again Synyster Gates takes centre stage with his fantastic guitar work especially during the solos which rock so hard the vocals from M Shadows chop and change in style throughout the song in places they are beautiful and melodic sounding and in others they are a little bit more aggressive Danger Line is one of my favourite tracks on the album and is a song that The Rev will be proud of up in heaven as the opening drums beats that The Rev wrote are so damn fantastic and Dream Theater s Mike Portnoy has done so well in recreating the drum parts that The Rev wrote but the opening to Danger Line has to be the cream of the crop seconds after the military style drum beats start up Synyster Gates let s rip with his jaw dropping guitar work M Shadows vocals come in moments later but it is the emotional chorus where M Shadows really shines as he howls out Nothing shocks you like a bullet hole leaving my fear on the danger line suffering no man should ever know leaving my faith on the danger line however it is the end of the track which shows true emotion with each instrument slowly fading out to the chilling sound of whistles Buried Alive is yet another one of my favourite tracks from the album it sounds very much like Metallica from start to finish the song starts off sounding very slow but builds up over time and features plenty of fantastic guitar solos which come at you in a mad frenzy imagine One from Metallica and you will be close to understanding what Buried Alive sounds like Natural Born Killer is the heaviest song on the album opening with a mad frenzy of instrumental work which really does rock and as the song progresses it just gets bigger and better with M Shadows singing the chilling lyrics of Die alone this is the one thing that I won t do so say your prayers cause I ain t leaving here without you if anyone was worried that Avenged Sevenfold had started sounding softer over time this is the song to help reinstall your faith that Avenged still have it when it comes to heaviness So Far Away is the first of many real slow pace songs that feature on the album the song is driven by acoustic guitar and is such an emotional song especially with M Shadows singing How do I live without the ones I love God Hates Us is a song which starts off sounding soft but suddenly goes all out with heavy screams growls and fast paced instrumental work Victim starts off with a church bell constantly ringing the song

have a solid sound and also seem to have a big passion for being in the music business and the music that they create The first track of the demo CD is Of Our Lives the song instantly makes me think of Alexisonfire due to the well thought out musical arrangements and massive catchy chorus which front man Sam delivers with such passion the song is really catchy but at the same makes an impact with the heavily executed guitar riffs and blistering drumming The second track is nicely titled Snakecharm The Dead Whale the song starts off quite heavy with aggressive sounding screamo vocals the vocals soon turn melodic and this sets the pace for the rest of the song with Sam taking centre stage with his melodic vocals and Jay coming in every now and again with more screamo style vocals once again the instrumental arrangements are immense with some great technical guitar riffs on offer Warship Lanterns is the track that stands out the most on the demo and that is because the song is so stripped down compared to all the other tracks on the demo the musical arrangements are kept basic and to an minimal

extremely grown up song compared to songs from Avril Lavigne s past as the extremely catchy and bouncy pop sounds have been left behind and the song comes across sounding like something you would expect from an Evanescence album with quite a mature sound yet with a bitter lyrical edge It takes a good minute or so before Chad Kroger s vocals come in but when they do Lavigne and Kroger take it in turns to lay down their vocals which complement each other beautifully lyrically it s hard not to think that the song is about Lavigne s ex Deryck Whibley as Lavigne sings I m breaking free from these memories gotta let it go just let it go i ve said goodbye set it all on fire gotta let it go just let it go whilst Kroger sings You came back to find I was gone and that place is empty like the hole that was left in me like we were nothing at all A few years back you would never think that Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroger would hook up to make music let alone have a relationship and get married but it is safe to

with big distorted beats and bass lines coming and going with breezy guitar riffs rocking out in the background and not to forget the scruffy sounding gruff vocals from Bruno himself lyrically the song is pretty repetitive but mixed with the general electronic arrangements it works bloody well If you want to listen to something slightly different from your typical UK top 40 style music then give Sail a listen

vocals on anything other than Cancer Bats material as every time I hear him it just cries out to me Opener Vultures even includes Synyster Gates from Avenged Sevenfold on guest guitars and it s not the type of song I would associate with any members involved except for Cormier as this does have a certain feeling to it that links it to Cancer Bats and I have to say it s mostly in the guitar tones and riffs with Vultures It s not too similar though it s more like your straight up aggressive metal as the album goes on too this begins to fade as Blood Money and Lies is like an evil destructive version of Tuck s main project Bullet For My Valentine Exochrist when it kicks off you would struggle to believe it wasn t a new BFMV single in fact with the exception of Cormier s vocals that is exactly what it could pass off as just a heavier approach Don t get me wrong I m not saying this is a bad thing nor that it s got a connection to Cancer Bats in fact it s amazing Collide though is very interesting it s a very distinctive style it s dramatic with eerie elements with both clean and growled vocal lines filling it up which appears to be like a collision of all the different musical backgrounds coming together makes for an interesting listen The best song on the album in my personal opinion is Destroy as it s so far detached from any labels they have associated them it can actually be called Axewound s distinctive style it s bouncy heavy and catchy as hell This album may not be the greatest album of the decade or even the year for that

cant help but sing along to top stuff Personal Failure is another heavy sounding rock song with some very raw sounding lyrics and a near shout along chorus Things go a bit mellower for Blood Is Thicker Than Wine and stands out the most on the album for the fact its so mellow Livin The Lie starts off with blistering drums and picks up the pace again and is a fast and furious classic rock tune Now I remember hearing Bitter Sweet Sedation at a B Movie Heroes gig nearly a year ago and loved the song then Its a pretty mellow sing along song that picks up for the chorus you will have this song in your head for hours after hearing it The album finishes with Stop killing Me which is full of huge riffs and some great solos and runs at seven minutes long finishing the album perfectly You cant help but compare this band to the Wildhearts as they sound similar in many ways but that s a good thing in my eyes and its great to see such good British rock bands writing good songs lets hope the B Movie Heroes go far 4 5

comes to life and goes on to be one of the highlights from the album as Doherty s vocals soar whilst the dirty guitar riffs feature a big uplifting kick Fall From Grace see s Doherty sing about the tough times he has faced and his addiction to drugs the song is extremely personal to him and within a few times of listening to the track you will find yourself singing With my head hanging high and my hands untied on the horizon there s a little piece of land I aspire Can we go some place where they know my face Gather round now bare witness to my fall from grace along with Doherty as his lays the lyrics down with a stunning vocal performance Maybeline has the potential to go on to be a future single release as the song is a 3minute long pop rock number that simple has radio play written all over it as the band bounce their way through the next 3minutes in an impressive infectious way The album title track Sequel To The Prequel is a great listen it sounds like something you would expect to hear on a Broadway musical show or maybe even something from back in the 50 s either way the song is big and fun sounding and an example of Babyshambles at their best as the song is a big bouncy number which is vocally catchy as hell as you will find yourself singing the sequel to the prequel tonight along with Doherty in no time at all Lyrically Penguins is a really poorly written song with Doherty singing Saturday night turned into Sunday morning just like it s supposed to everybody s gone it s just me and you we can do what you like go to

was going to enjoy The Blinding EP Now after a few listens I am really hooked The ep starts off with the title track The Blinding the tracks really mellow sounding and sounds a bit like a one man band the chorus is quite catchy with some good breakdowns Track two is titled Love You but You re Green this tracks good but nothing special once again due to the mellowness Track three is where the ep steps up its pace for the stunning ska sounding I Wish which has a stunning sing a long chorus Track four Beg Steal or Borrow is a pretty decent song and has the classic Babyshambles sound to it The ep finishes off with Sedative and it seems Babyshambles have left the best till last the track clocks in at just over four minutes and starts off with some pretty mellow guitar playing and Pete saying Seventeen a few times before the song goes all up beat with a sing a long chorus and then returns to mellowness etc You cant help but notice how talented Pete Doherty actually is The man knows how to play a good tune when ever he s sober
