has clearly been turned down a notch or two from the previous album and as for Oliver s vocals for the majority of the songs on the album his vocals are full of deep growls but he does change he vocal style every now and again to raspy shouts and more hardcore punk rock Frank Carter from the Gallows style screams Suicide Season starts off with the first single to be taken from the album The Comedown the first time I heard the song was when I saw the video on Scuzz TV and saw people walking around wearing masks from the film Predator and that was the moment that I noticed that Bring Me The Horizon had changed the song was very listenable and the instrumental work seriously kicks some arse and Oliver s vocals come across quite harsh sounding but the screams of I d Rather Live Than Live Forever are the first bit of proof that he has reworked his vocal style The opening vocals for Chelsea Smile make me think that Oliver Sykes has just morphed into Frank Carter from the Gallows as the vocals sound so similar to his at the start but seconds later they turn to deep growls and flow in a really aggressive heavy way once again the instrumental work is outstanding the guitar riffs are like a thousand machine guns going off they make a noise and pack an almighty punch the breakdowns during the song are well executed and much needed to keep things that little bit more exciting The lyrics and themes of Bring Me The Horizon songs hasn t changed here it s all doom and gloom and about death and blood but I am pretty sure you could work that out yourself just by looking at the album title Suicide Season and also the artwork which shows a nice looking girl holding her insides on the outside with blood all over her the song titles are all of a morbid or dark theme such as It Was Written In Blood Death Breath Sleep With One Eye Open there are no happy love songs here but what did you expect The most impressive song on the album is The Sadness Will Never End the song is a technical masterpiece it starts off really chilled out with such a mellow introduction but soon the noise starts but surprisingly it sounds nothing like the usual stuff you would hear from Bring Me The Horizon it s heavy but it s heavy in a melodic way something that I thought I would never hear from a Bring Me The Horizon song but then again the song does feature guest vocals from Architects Sam Carter which pretty much self explains why the song is more of a sing along wonder than a scream along beast Back to the court case situation there is a song on the album about the girl who took Oliver to court the song is called No Need

in the course of just 11 days I have never been a huge fan of Bryan Adams but I have always had a soft spot for some of his songs and do remember buying his album 18 Till I Die many years ago on tape Through his career Bryan Adams has kept to his soft rock roots and that s something you have to respect him for as the music he creates is quite listenable where some get hooked on it more than others and as the old saying goes if it isn t broke don t fix it and that s the case with Bryans music The album runs for just under 50 minutes and has some classic moments for example opening track Thought We Have The Starts is exactly what you would expect from Bryan it s got the chilled out guitar playing he s famed for and his vocals are as clear and beautiful sounding as ever especially on the chorus The lead single from the album is I Thought I d Seen Everything The song happens to be one of the strongest songs on the album and could easily be in the top 10 of classic Bryan Adams songs it s a mid tempo song where the guitars are spot on and the vocals are sensational and the anthemic chorus is worth waiting for There are more classic moments on the album such as the anthemic Oxygen a song that has one of the strongest choruses on the album The uplifting Broken Wings is another top moment from the album the guitar riffs are thin and the song builds up from a slow number in to a more mid paced number Bryan Adams has recorded many songs in his 30 year career and 11 features 12

the first time I completely ignored their existence but now I adore them and even my girlfriend walks around singing their cover of Zombies all the time Now having heard that since this albums release in March lead vocalist Paul Isola has left the band after serving as the bands lead vocalist for the last 17 years this has filled me with a great deal of sadness and I hope this album will reflect on his legacy with the band I ve chilled out and let the thing spin round a fair few times now and am ready to give my verdict the album on a whole is great it s less on the aggressive self which I wouldn t normally say is a good thing but with Breed 77 whilst the other albums have had a degree of aggression present throughout they ve always been ones to show a vast range in style and this right here with songs like Low Broken Pieces and Drown really pay tribute to the extensive vocal range that Isola possesses I personally have a big connection with the second half of the album more than the first it s all fantastic but I feel the likes of Higher and Face really steal my heart simply due to the melodies they just really draw you in with their sweet tones This brings my review to an end and I am more than satisfied with what I have heard here and I do feel that this is a fitting end to an era the era of Paul Isola and he can be proud of everything he helped this band to accomplish Whilst I hope they have the best of luck with their new singer for me this band will never be the same to me

quite a hit back in 1994 when it was released so yeah fast forward on 16 years and here we are with Breed 77 s fantastic cover of it Zombie is a famous protest song that pretty much everyone has heard well Breed 77 has given the song the Breed 77 treatment and come up with quite a heavy rocking song that you could listen to over and over again without getting bored The Cranberries version of the song was quite easy listening with beautiful sounding female vocals which sent the anti war message across clear the Breed 77 version delivers the message but in a way that you have to jump around like a lunatic making the most of the heavy yet melodic ways of the song I know Breed 77 got a lot of stick from many press people for including Zombie on their latest album Insects and making it the closing track but I really can t understand why as the song is an outstanding cover which Breed 77 should be proud of as I know their fans love every moment of it just check them out when the song is played in the live environment 4

bit too rough i think The songs have some flamenco inspired moments where it comes through in a bit of its own space before disappearing back into the alt metal Title track Insects was a good track to hear live lots going on pretty heavy with a solid solo Album closer is a cover called Zombie by the cranberries i have to say this is pretty decent cover that is

piano chords and more emotional depressing vocals the guitars do kick in but they are pretty mellow as well as carrying on with the slow pace of the song The single also comes with three different b sides and the first one being a heavy metal version of The Cranberries classic track Zombie which works really well with its heavy guitars and outstanding thundering drumming with the vocals sitting perfectly over the track The second b side is the Spanish named and sung La Ultima Hora which despite not being able to understand the lyrics the vocals are quite good and the song has some huge guitar riffs and quite a catchy chorus The third b side is Petroleo which is another all Spanish sung song and a taster from the bands upcoming all Spanish sung album Un Encuentro which shows Breed 77 are an interesting band no matter what language they sing in Look At Me Now seems like a strange release for a heavy metal band but is quite a radio friendly song and could become another hit for the band The b sides on the single are great and give a good chance to have a taster

Will Be is easily the strongest sounding and most important album that Brigade have ever created as they are bowing out to the music industry on a high musically as the album features some of the catchiest songs you will of ever heard from Brigade and at the same time the big tasty guitar riffs that they have been chucking out for the past 8 years are still in place but sounding bigger and better than ever The album opens with 200 Scratches which features an instrumentally heavy opening with pulsating drum beats and chunky guitar riffs and seconds later the unique and ever so catchy vocals from Will Simpson come in and take you on one hell of a mammoth sing a long journey with Will singing with pure passion throughout From hearing the opening track you just know that the whole album is going to be worthy of listening to and that really is the case as each and every song on the album has the potential to be a single with plenty of air play but sadly we all know that this is not going to happen as the music industry really has failed Brigade The most standout moments on the album happen to be A Heinous Crime With Draconian Consequences which has a massive catchy knack thanks to the passionate vocals from Simpson Eden is also another fantastic track which was clearly written for the radio due to its catchy nature and spot on breakdowns however it will be Adieu which will appeal the most to the majority of hardcore Brigade fans as the song has been written and recorded to perfection and features everything from bouncy basslines rippling riffs a catchy chorus and massive group vocals leading the song out As mentioned above each and

the Brigade style guitar riffs that you can instantly recognize during pretty much any Brigade song and also Will Simpson s strong stand out lead vocals Well Brigade are now back with their new album Come Morning We Fight already getting massive reviews from the press and fans alike The main single to be released from the album was Pilot the song was strong and clearly showed how Brigade have progressed since the release of their debut album Lights and this time around Brigade clearly do have the sound of a band who deserves to be taken slowly If you are still not fully convinced with Brigade then check out the bands forthcoming double a side single Sink Sink Swim and Stunning the name of the second song speaks for itself Sink Sink Swim is a real rocking song it starts off with a big guitar riff introduction with the riffs running throughout the whole song sounding quite similar the lyrics are well written and the vocals are as clear and strong sounding as you have come to expect from Will Simpson now and they do have a poppy vibe during the upbeat sounding chorus Stunning totally lives up to its name and it s the best song out of this double A side single release Take my advice and lock yourself in your room for ten minutes crank the volume up on your stereo and listen to Stunning a few times over and if you can bring yourself away from your stereo after listening to this masterpiece you will instantly find yourself singing or humming along Stunning is a song that is crammed with pure power pop energy the song flows really well and at such a fast bouncy pace the lyrics do tend to be a bit repetitive
