    particularly well I have more of the black Jacob which I m knitting into a second cushion not a cable this time but still textured Tags cable cushion jacob knitting Posted in General 1 Comment Confession Wednesday March 9th 2016 Spinning Not for me I always said but once tried it became quite addictive I was given an old wheel thanks Kate and with help from a friend got it in working order and began spinning So much fun soothing even why not try a spindle I thought After a little while I was soon spinning quite even yarn on both my wheel and my drop spindle A second smaller wheel was bought with the intention of it replacing my original wheel but I m sure you ve already realised that I now have two wheels Over time I began to enjpy spindle spinning more and more one or two more spindles crept into my hands and I now find myself with nine I m not quite sure how that happened but I do really enjoy both spinning with them and having them on display These are three of my newest spindles pretty arent t they The very newest is the one below Hubby commissioned this one for me as a Christmas present aren t I lucky I strongly suspect I ll collect more they re both useful and beautiful Tags spindle Posted in General 1 Comment Birthday garland Saturday February 20th 2016 At Christmas I like to make a garland for the house it s lovely to bring greenery and light into the house This year January felt quite grey so I thought it d be fun to have one for the January birthday we celebrate It was quite a simple affair made purely of ivy intertwined with a set of fairly lights A green garland wasn t enough though so I made an elephant garland with some of the lovely papers that my Daughter has amassed for her crafting Every elephant has different papers on each side and a different paper for it s ear Pink sequins for eyes It s a short crowded garland and I love it so much that it s still there even now long after the ivy garland faded Perhaps I ll leave it there until Easter and replace it with an Easter tree Tags elephant garland Posted in General No Comments Crackers Sunday January 17th 2016 That s me crackers about crackers I m often to be found with crackers and a dip just love the texture and flavour of them Peter s Yard sourdough crackers are so delicious that I wanted to have a go at something different myself and came across this recipe for cumin flavoured crispbread I made only half the amount and it made over 60 small crackers so I m glad I didn t do more I tried one of the first batch as it came out and it was still a bit doughy so I put
