Jo s disgraceful feet in the foot strapping exercise sorry Guy But it was not only in the first aid arena that we Foxes excelled but in the bar Clearly over excited at the prospect of socialising with new people something we have just not done for months on the final night the unassuming activity centre bar was host to an array of bar room acrobatics which left a few newly qualified first aiders feeling they may be practising their skills sooner than anticipated All in all it was a fantastic and learned weekend and we want to say a HUGE thank you to Guy at Adventure First Aid for providing enjoyable expert training tailored to our expedition needs and for being so totally enthusiastic and supportive of our Greenland Quest Thanks also to Charlie for your expert advice training and for your toothpaste and Hugh for also letting us camp and drag tyres on your land in Dartmoor Much appreciated O If you are interested in finding out more about Adventure First Aid then please visit www adventurefirstaid co uk 17 04 2006 Exped Report 8 Many Thanks Exped Report 7 Homeward Bound Exped Report 6 The Final Countdown Exped Report 5 Daily Routines Exped Report 4 Waiting for Wind Exped Report 3 Reaching the East Coast Exped Report 2 Across the Ice Sheet Exped Report 1 The First Few Days Expedition Reports In the beginning Foxes back home Day 36 4th June Day 35 3rd June Day 33 34 1st 2nd June Day 32 31st May Day 31 30th May Day 30 29th May Day 28 29 27th 28th May Day 27 26th May Day 26 25th May Day 25 24th May Day 23 24 22nd 23rd May Day 21 22 20th 21st May Day 19 20 18th

imaginations of all things white fluffy and threatening it was time for Felicity and I to turn our attention to our preparations for the London Marathon Now I m not quite sure how it happened but somewhere along the line I seem to have let Felicity persuade me that it would be a good idea not only to run 26 2 miles but to do so dressed as an apple Yes an apple Today was the day when Fiona from Team Pink Lady was to arrive at our house to show us for the first time the costumes that we had agreed to adorn for race day Now to me it was never a good sign that she had to hire a van and so arrived some apple costumes of epic proportions so big they would put James and his giant peach to shame So dressed in bright green leggings with matching leg warmers oh yes a giant apple body and matching stalk head we then headed into town just as it started to chuck it down with rain and met with the photographer who took various fruity shoots whilst Tonbridge s finest kappa clad youth shouted at us telling us in no uncertain terms exactly what they thought we looked like Classic All in all a hilariously memorable day But if you fancy a laugh at our expense come up to London on Sunday 23rd April and keep an eye out for 2 giant apples bobbing 26 2 miles around London and make sure you say HELLO jo x 11 04 2006 Exped Report 8 Many Thanks Exped Report 7 Homeward Bound Exped Report 6 The Final Countdown Exped Report 5 Daily Routines Exped Report 4 Waiting for Wind Exped Report 3 Reaching the East Coast Exped Report 2

our soaking wet boots and this time Ed came with us as we navigated our way round some far more featureless areas as well as quickening up the pace as he had us running over hill and vale Even when Jo learnt that the big ankle breaking grassy lumps were actually known as babies heads and consequently refused to stamp on them as she had been enjoying doing previously we managed to keep up a good pace and we still made good time o Halfway round I felt obliged to admit that I couldn t remember where I d put the only car key but there not being much you can do from the side of a hill we carried on regardless A few hours later we were relieved to see the car still positioned where we left it and even more relieved when in exchange for 3 burgers the nice burger van man produced the key having very kindly locked the door for me before removing the key I think that the stress must be getting to me Nice and tired we returned to London feeling like we d accomplished something and glad to still have a car 07 04 2006 Exped Report 8 Many Thanks Exped Report 7 Homeward Bound Exped Report 6 The Final Countdown Exped Report 5 Daily Routines Exped Report 4 Waiting for Wind Exped Report 3 Reaching the East Coast Exped Report 2 Across the Ice Sheet Exped Report 1 The First Few Days Expedition Reports In the beginning Foxes back home Day 36 4th June Day 35 3rd June Day 33 34 1st 2nd June Day 32 31st May Day 31 30th May Day 30 29th May Day 28 29 27th 28th May Day 27 26th May Day 26 25th May Day 25

The kite launched successfully and all was going well until the Extreme South boys suggested taking the kite into the power zone which Rachel happily did The kite hit the zone the wind whipped it violently forward and Rachel was dragged for 15m along the tundra with Rob and Toby still valiantly holding on Rachel finally brought the kite down and now respects the full power of a small kite in strong winds and has a bump on her head to prove it The storms finally cleared and Rachel was able to play with the Blade III 8 5m 6 6m and the Rage on the glacier successfully using the 6 6 to power her up hill on skis The Iceland glacier offered a huge clear play area for kiters and Reykjavic provided excellent clubs for those who enjoy some dancing to accompany their kiting 03 04 2006 Exped Report 8 Many Thanks Exped Report 7 Homeward Bound Exped Report 6 The Final Countdown Exped Report 5 Daily Routines Exped Report 4 Waiting for Wind Exped Report 3 Reaching the East Coast Exped Report 2 Across the Ice Sheet Exped Report 1 The First Few Days Expedition Reports In the beginning Foxes back home Day 36 4th June Day 35 3rd June Day 33 34 1st 2nd June Day 32 31st May Day 31 30th May Day 30 29th May Day 28 29 27th 28th May Day 27 26th May Day 26 25th May Day 25 24th May Day 23 24 22nd 23rd May Day 21 22 20th 21st May Day 19 20 18th 19th May Day 18 17th May Day 16 17 15th 16th May Day 14 15 13th 14th May Day 12 13 11th 12th May 2006 Day 10 11 9th 10th May Day 8 9 7th 8th
