    g 4 6pm Including Saturday gallery education visit and 3 family peer sessions Delivered at our Community Arts Centre in Stockwell or in your school or organisation Accredited Arts Award Explore for 7 11 yrs and Bronze award for 11 19 yrs Making art for either an exhibition market stall or collective community piece Funding for these courses can come through pupils premium or Art4Space can advise on funders Why Art Matters Outcomes Promote the use of arts in the curriculum the success of these courses will show that the can arts play a critical role in education and will give examples of best practice to inspire and inform teachers Raise attainment and aspirations the children will be given the space to voice their opinions and express their values throughout the workshops Improve educational and aspirational attainment the course will give the children a nationally recognised qualification Children will relate positively to others the children will work with workshop leaders outside of the school context and will work collaboratively with their peers during the sessions Improve family stability this course will involve parent carer participation in the children s education and family learning Active and thriving community the children have a chance to join our child ambassadors programme and parents and carers will join the Art4Space sign posting service Increased self esteem the children will be encouraged to contribute to each session and will be given a safe space to explore their creativity and learn new skills Increased self confidence gaining an accreditation learning alongside professional workshop leaders working with their peers in a safe creative space putting artwork into the public sphere Improved emotional health the wellbeing aspect of the course will give the children tools to improve their wellbeing which they can apply to their lives and those

    recycled plastic bags and mosaic from plates and buttons Danielle has a passion for communicating through her work a reinvention of traditional techniques and a concern for environmental issues Danielle s work has been exhibited at environmental art exhibitions in London and Japan and at the biannual open studio exhibitions at Stockwell Studios and Eel Pie Island She co ordinated and curated Haven for Senses a sculpture exhibition in a nature park in Kings Cross She is a proficient project manager and a highly experienced and motivated workshop facilitator Danielle works with children and adults with a whole range of abilities and in all sorts of community settings Her workshops include teaching school children inventive and traditional techniques using plastic bags such as crochet and knotting creating beautiful installations She has co ordinated workshops making African houses from recycled materials to accompany the Africa Remix exhibition at the South Bank and also giant withy and paper sculptures for celebratory community parades and of course mosaic In 2005 Danielle moved to rural South West Wales where she now lives with her family in her self built low impact home She has established a branch of Art4Space in Wales Art4Space Wales has facilitated some inspirational mosaic projects in family and community centres some accredited and schools Cob ovens and cob sculpture are also an element of Art4Space Wales Cob workshops have been facilitated at community farms and forest schools Danielle s ability to communicate ideas and share those of others her good organisational skills motivation and sheer enthusiasm for her work and that of others has led to a very exciting and fulfilling career Contact Danielle dani art4space co uk About Us Art4Space Values Art4Space Annual Reports The Artists Julie Norburn Elinor Seath Danielle Lees Smith Awards Policies and Procedures Press References
