  • Activities Centre Manager - Summer 2016
    As part of the job role you will assist with ensuring that all the activity procedures and standards are in place and meet company and governing body standards expectations with close contact with the JCA Operations Team Further to this that you identify any training and support needs of our staff and put action plans in place where required You will need to ensure that you create an excellent working relationship with the resort staff and management at our seasonal centres as they are leased for the duration of our operation As a manager in our business your personal knowledge and technical expertise will assist you to coach develop and performance manage your centre team consistently Additionally you ll think creatively and monitor weekly feedback from our visiting guests address any issues and championing staff that excel to ensure we provide excellent customer service and standards to deliver outstanding results What we are looking for 21 years or older A customer driven team member who has the desire and ability to work with and motivate children and young people An engaging communicator and team player who is happy to lead by example and with the ability to influence at senior level Passion for working in the outdoors Energy drive and enthusiasm at all times The ability to plan organize Diplomatic yet assertive and decisive Knowledge of the outdoors BAPA AALA and other Governing Bodies Ability to give feedback in various formats and experienced in supporting developing staff An understanding of the challenges living residentially and away from home The flexibility within role to change location as the business may require Satisfactory receipt of criminal records check Qualifications No specific qualifications required as training will be given Driving license Desirable GNAS SPA Climbing wall award Water qualifications in Canoe or Kayak

    s Customer Care Safety Management Systems are adhered to Ensure activities conform to Acorn Adventure Operating Procedures Risk Assessments Ensure all the Instructional team work within Operating Procedure guidelines Ensure the safe delivery of the Activity Programme Work proactively to enhance the quality of activity delivery Co ordinate and deliver activity specific training and assessments Update the Training Diary for all training throughout the season Co ordinate the monitoring of all Instructional staff and activities at required intervals and complete appropriate records Liaise with Party Leaders regarding their Activity Programme Carry out night duty as required at Centre Co ordinate daily meetings debriefs with the Instructional team Liaise with the Head Office Activity Training Manager to make preparations for AALS BCU and RYA inspections Assist with Instructional Staff Appraisals Liaise with Head Office Activity Training Manager regarding changes to Operating Procedures Risk Assessments Ensure the activities equipment is kept in good repair and stored correctly Ensure monthly equipment high ropes inspections are carried out Inventories to be completed in conjunction with Head Office Resource Estates Manager Play a lead role in the montage and demontage of the Centre Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the Centre Manager
