it When cut open it definitely doesn t have a chinese aroma to it I instantly thought Annuum I ll post up the photos once all my backups and downloads have completed I was just mindful of getting the reviews posted The walls of the pod were thick for its size a definite crunch to them as the knife cut through It was very seedy inside running straight down the middle and it s aroma was quite clean I removed some seeds and popped both halves of the pod in and began to bite down instant crunchy walls filled with a sweet subtle fruitiness it had a real clean taste to it almost baccatum esq I would say Each bite was equal to its previous bite This pod is packed with sweet juicy bites the flavour being so subtle and clean makes it a winner for me As for the heat It barely registered unlike it s name this one lacks bite I d probably say it s got less heat than a Jalapeno probably less than an Aji Fantasy I didn t notice anything However that shouldn t make it a bad pod on the contrary I d love

Baccatum pepper and for those who remember my log and reviews from last year I kind of fell in love with Baccatum chillies to the point I grew 5 plants in total this year and 3 were Baccas This pod had the characteristic baccatum aroma when the pod was cut open very clean fresh aroma It had thick walls and all the signs pointed to a potentially enjoyable review I ve saved as many seeds as I dared to risk removing and popped the pod in and began to give it a good munch Straight away you get that crunchy juicy bite with a baccatum pod delightful The pod is quite sweet possibly one of the sweetest peppers I ve tasted it s great The taste is again very delicate it s subtle clean lovely If this follows the other baccatum pods I ve grown myself then it ll be a good cropper of golf ball sized pods based on the two I ve been sent Heat level is very low barely getting more than a tongue warming from this However this isn t a pod for the heat enthusiasts it one for those who love what baccatum pods are

says it s the Jalapeño Farmers Market Potato Now the picture i ve taken doesn t do the skin justice the side it s laying on was far more in keeping with the photos I ve seen of this particular type but I ve also seen that much variation that I m happy to be corrected This pod when cut open had that typical annuum aroma to it quite a clean smell compared to the chinenses I d been testing The walls are notably thicker seeds are quite large too and I ve saved a few of these in case it is as billed The pod had a good crunch to each bite it was sweet and juicy but the taste was a typical bell pepper red bell pepper taste which was quite disappointing in all honesty I had hoped for something different What it offers in it s cool appearance it lacks in taste Don t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with the taste of a red bell pepper but I wanted something more Each bite was a crunchy juicy explosion but that s the only highlight Heat wise I barely felt it I d probably say

but in thin strands and the seeds were mostly contained at the top Again I ve removed a few seeds to help me out later today I popped this in and began to chew It didn t take much to break this up with the thinness of the walls it had unusually an initial juicy bite but that s the best of it Bitterness then came to the for and quite an earthy taste which isn t to my liking in all honesty I wasn t expecting this pod to taste great I do genuinely dislike chocolate pods What this pod lacked in taste it made up for in heat Before I d even got the pod down the burn was starting on my tongue near the back and coming forward with quite an aggressive burn This was already the hottest pod I d had this season without doubt The burn very quickly engulfed the whole mouth the top of the tongue was literally ablaze senses pinging and eyes watering as a result The burn quickly began to spread to the front of the mouth getting onto the lips sides of the tongue and also reaching down the throat Sweating quite profusely now eyes and nose like a tap being switched onto full I reluctantly but necessarily had to reach for the milk in the fridge This pod is kicking me in every direction The heat more than the burn is what killed me the burn is aggressive but I ve faced worse pods in the past but this gets hot I was literally dripping and every breathe just caused my mouth pain The heat on this last for a good ten minutes it is seriously hot and left me feeling like I d been beaten to a pulp I

doesn t stop me from giving it a taste This one had quite a mild chinense aroma it s got thicker walls than I was expecting there is plenty of seeds in there and the placenta goes right down to the bottom There are a couple of tiny pockets of oil in the pods but nothing to worry about I tried to remove some of the seeds without damaging the placenta and ended up having to leave most within the pod This had a decent crunch when bitten unusual with these types of pods too which was a welcome surprise a slight touch of sweetness with his bite which is most welcoming but the taste is very unusual it s got a very clean fruity taste to it Again there is a hint of bitterness but that compliments the subtle clean fruity taste to the pod The pod begins to attack the tongue fairly quickly the sides of the tongue and down into the jowls are heating up I ve got a slight sweat on and a tear or two in the eye but again the heat isn t ramping up as I was expecting It s building without being aggressive and the heat moves towards the back of the mouth throat area but doesn t get uncomfortable I decide to pop the other pod straight in and begin to chew again there is a crunch to it with a slight sweetness Again this is loaded with seeds and they re getting in and amongst my teeth That clean fruitiness comes through again balanced with a hint of bitterness it s a good taste The heat on the second pod very much mirrors the first Begins to build on the sides of the tongue but fails to really ignite I
