    29 850 Broker s Details HISTORY DESCRIPTION An attractive well presented motor sailer derived from the lines of the local Cornish fishing boats and built by Gerald Pearn boat builder of Morval Looe Cornwall in 1970 First changed hands in about 1983 after some twelve years with the first owner and continued in second ownership for some twenty three years until sold to the present Sussex owner in 2006 The second owner was a retired Master Mariner and fitted the boat out for research work with the Plymouth Marine College as well as for family leisure use In the present ownership the boat has been well maintained and is now presented in good condition ready for immediate use The design features a long straight keel a full round midships section a transom stern raked straight stem with transom hung rudder Below Bulla 11 has twin berths forward with infill to make a double berth a midships saloon cabin with port and starboard settee berths a heads compartment in the starboard aft corner and a galley in the after port corner Large cockpit aft with the engine fully accessible under a low step box in the middle Bermudian ketch rig sets approx 400sq of sail on masts which are easily lowered and removed without the need of a crane Carvel planked in iroko traditionally tight seamed in the Cornish way with no caulking on c lose spaced Canadian rock elm steam bent timbers all fastened with copper nails and roves Pine stringers and beam shelf Iroko back bone with massive oak floors across the centre line Steel shoe along the bottom of the long iroko keel adds ballast weight and protects the keel when grounding Quantity of internal lead trimming ballast Yacht laid deck in solid iroko caulked and payed The coach roof is built with varnished iroko coamings having four opening bronze port holes each side and one forward The coamings extend aft to form the cockpit coamings The coach roof deck is laid in ply on substantial pine beams sheathed with epoxy and glass cloth and painted white Pair of bronze mushroom vents Wheel shelter with two forward windows side windows bronze nav lights on the roof corners grab rails on the roof 6 6 head room Removeable chart table Large deep safe cock pit with seating down each side and across the after end Stowage under the side decks Bronze capped oak sampson posts in the after corners take the stern lines Slatted scrubbed teak seating each side Teak grating at the helm Traditional spoked teak wheel in the forward port corner of the dog house with chain and cable to a short under deck tiller arm on the external rudder stock Thornycroft 50hp four cylinder naturally aspirated fresh water cooled diesel engine on heavy timber beds on the centre line to conventional shaft drive and 3 blade bronze centre line propeller C ruising speed about 7knots 2000rpm uses less than one gallon per hour Panel in the
