    the vehicle and the gas tap must be turned off before boarding and stay off throughout the crossing Furthermore campervans require a permit to travel to Guernsey or Jersey which is issued by a participating campsite or directly from the local authorities see Travelling with your Caravan motorhome or campervan on Condor Ferries What is a Motorhome Condor Ferries defines motor home as a vehicle with integral sleeping living quarters within the same chassis Motor homes can be up to 7 5 metres long with a small supplement applying to vehicles over 6 5m but less than 3 1 metres high including all items on the roof Examples include Autosleeper Elddis Swift types Only one small canister of camping gas up to 5kg may be carried in the vehicle and the gas tap must be turned off before boarding and stay off throughout the crossing Please note the maximum laden vehicle weight is 3 5 tonnes for our Fast Ferry services any vehicle exceeding this will be refused boarding Like campervans and caravans they require a permit to travel to Guernsey or Jersey which is issued by a participating campsite or the local authorities see Travelling with your Caravan motorhome or campervan on Condor Ferries What is a Van Condor Ferries defines a Van as a vehicle which is panel sided and has a cargo area Bookable by phone or in our port office only the price varies depending on the dimensions The maximum size of van that can be carried on our fast ferries is up to 6 5m in length and up than 4 1 metres high Please note the maximum laden vehicle weight is 3 5 tonnes for our Fast Ferry services any vehicle exceeding this will be refused boarding When booking you must accurately declare your reason for travel a if you do not do so you may be refused carriage on the sailing and will be asked to pay the appropriate fare that applies to your journey Furthermore vans may require completion of customs paperwork to make a booking or if you think this may need to declare your load please contact us on 0845 609 1037 Checking in with a Car Please ensure that you check in no later than 60 minutes before your departure time On arrival at the car check in booth please show your booking confirmation and if travelling to France your passport You will then be given your boarding cards and a car sticker showing your arrival destination The sticker should be placed on your car windscreen and your boarding tickets kept ready to show when you embark A member of our check in staff will assign you to your car lane which will be dependent on the length and size of your vehicle Embarkation When it s your turn to embark you will be brought forward and asked for your boarding cards The stubs will be torn off and the cards returned to you You should keep your boarding

    later than 40 minutes before your departure time On arrival at the port office check in desk please show your booking confirmation and if travelling to France your passport You will then be given your boarding cards After receiving your boarding cards you will be directed through to the waiting lounge before it is time to board the ship Embarkation When your time comes to embark you will be asked to board the ship as required and you will be greeted by a member of staff and asked for your boarding cards The stubs will be torn off and the cards returned to you Your boarding cards should be kept with you at all times You will need to show them if asked to do so and if you wish to make a purchase in the onboard Duty Free shop Disembarking on foot The Cabin Manager will announce when it is safe to disembark the ship at the port of arrival Directions will also be given in order to ensure passengers on foot disembark the ship accordingly Please take care when disembarking the ship Personal Luggage Passengers on foot can carry up to 15kg of personal luggage free of charge and it must be labelled with name and destination Luggage will be checked in loaded on board and will be ready for collection in the arrivals hall at your destination Excess luggage may be accepted subject to space availability and will be charged at appropriate rate Please bear in mind that the following items are charged at cargo rates camping equipment musical instruments filming and radio transmitting equipment commercial samples and surf and windsurfing boards If you are a day trip passenger please note that only hand baggage is permitted Passports If you are travelling between the UK and the
