    winter warmers 4 Valentine s Day Alternatives 5 Key Species to look out for on Exmoor 5 Top Picnic Spots 5 Sporting Suggestions 4 Unusual Exmoor animals 4 Exmoor beer gardens 4 key Somerset cricket players 4 Coastal days out 4 Exmoor Events for June July 6 History and Heritage days out around Exmoor 10 Facts on marshes Porlock Marsh Still time to sign up for starlight trek on Exmoor Published by Duddings in Exmoor 13 1 2014 12 32 34 THE clock is still running for people who want to sign up for StarTrek a night time walk across Exmoor The event which takes place on the night of March 1 represents the perfect opportunity for anyone staying in Exmoor holiday cottages to explore the moor at night in safety The charity event is taking place for the 22 nd time and will see teams of walkers taking on a 14 mile route But for the first time there will also be a half trek option for people who wish to take part and support a charity without covering quite as many miles The annual walk organised by Ilfracombe Round Table is in aid of North Devon District Hospital s chemotherapy appeal which it raised 35 000 for last year and North Devon Hospice and the Children s Hospice South West Each of those three charities has teams entered in the trek which will cross the moor overnight and there s still time for other teams to enter Teams are made up of between four and six people and will have to solve clues along the route as well as navigating their route To find out more about the walk and to enter visit www rotary startrek org uk 1 comment Average Vote 5 0 5 Terry 2014 01
