    approached by Voluntary Action Wakefield District Wakefield VAWD to help them develop a new content managed portal website to support Wakefield District s voluntary and community sector VCS The website wakefieldvcs org featured a new design allowed the website to be easily updated and provided other features such as a forum directory of organisations and a means to send out email newsletters In June 2010 an independent study was conducted on how the pilot phase of the website had been received so far by its target audience The results were very positive Organisations offered an encouraging view of the content of the site 68 described the content as very useful or mostly useful The remaining 32 said the content was partly useful Comments made with regard to the ease of use and navigation were also very positive Six comments used the words easy to navigate and well laid out Other comments included easy to access clear and concise and descriptors such as straightforward bright and jargon free added to a very positive picture Other comments included An excellent resource It s good to know it is there and available The whole idea of the Directory is an excellent one I
