    Male Artist of the Year 2014 he has steadily been developing a reputation for himself in the Folk Roots circuits either through his solo shows many festival appearances or when opening for such luminaries as Marillion Show of Hands Steve Knightley Martyn Joseph Karine Polwart Oysterband Cara Dillon and Glen Tilbrook He has also completed extensive tours of Scotland which for 2 years running included 2 consecutive nights sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival He is developing audiences across Germany Belgium and The Netherlands after playing shows and Festivals over the past 2 years His debut album More Than Boys produced by the acclaimed Welsh Singer Songwriter Martyn Joseph was released in 2012 to great reviews as was the follow up Fumes and Faith in early 2014 This record was co produced by Luke with Cardiff based American producer Mason Neely and further reflects his development as both a writer and performer 2015 saw the release of his first Trio CD This Family Tree EP which received overwhelming critical acclaim with The Telegraph naming it as one of the best folk albums of the year and Maverick giving it 5 stars 2016 sees new chapters unfolding as Luke has been selected to showcase at the International Folk Alliance conference in Kansas USA along with touring again with Amy Wadge and also Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar and heading to Europe in the Summer for more German Festival appearances Luke is an ever present in the live music scene gigging relentlessly all over the country and he remains a prolific songwriter with a further full length album due by the end of the year http www lukepauljackson com Listen to Luke Jackson here the folk at FolkEast 2015 FolkEast on Twitter RT grapevinelive The initial line up for FolkEast has
