If this is a space issue and the outlay think carefully about whether a Continental Style Coffee Cart with Bagels Sweet and Savoury might not be a better solution If your Garden Centre is small and the car park too consider whether you want lots of customers sitting down for a minimum of 30 mins extra when your Car Park is full in April May June and July Cafe s encourage customers to occupy your car parking spaces for longer If you have very limited car parking spaces in the high season think carefully before opting for the seated Cafe You can always fix cup holders and trays to shopping carts 2 Oct 2014 Andy Not Porta cabins but plenty have been set up in wooden chalets Ive even seen one in a railway carriage Imagination and good ventilation will be key Share this Close Coffee Shop add a comment Add your comment to Are there any examples of port a cabins as café s you are aware of Date Fri 12th Feb 2016 For verification we ask for your contact details We will publish your name not your contact details UNLESS you provide an alternative name for publication a pen name Name Email address Telephone Name for publication Comment Gardenforum may contact you in line with these Terms and Conditions If you would prefer us not to contact you please click here Do not contact me Close Submit comment Close Coffee Shop start a new discussion Date Fri 12th Feb 2016 For verification we ask for your contact details We will publish your name not your contact details UNLESS you provide an alternative name for publication a pen name Name Email address Telephone Name for publication Point for discussion Gardenforum may contact you in line with these Terms and

Big Fans of GLEE on Sunday Travel time is massively less with clear motorways you can get on the stands and talk to the relevant suppliers in a more relaxed manner But what was the 4 30 closing time on Sunday about it stopped us in full flow and made for a long evening 6pm Sunday next year please 18 Sep 2014 Everall Or should it change to Tuesday Wednesday Thursday to allow buyers Managers the chance to place orders with suppliers on the Monday after the weekend sales Share this Close Coffee Shop add a comment Add your comment to Which days work best for Glee Date Fri 12th Feb 2016 For verification we ask for your contact details We will publish your name not your contact details UNLESS you provide an alternative name for publication a pen name Name Email address Telephone Name for publication Comment Gardenforum may contact you in line with these Terms and Conditions If you would prefer us not to contact you please click here Do not contact me Close Submit comment Close Coffee Shop start a new discussion Date Fri 12th Feb 2016 For verification we ask for your contact details We will publish your name not your contact details UNLESS you provide an alternative name for publication a pen name Name Email address Telephone Name for publication Point for discussion Gardenforum may contact you in line with these Terms and Conditions If you would prefer us not to contact you please click here Do not contact me Close Submit point for discussion Join now or trial us Free Contact us Gardenforum Ltd Eden Grove Zeals Warminster Wilts BA12 6PA Tel 01747 840730 Email info gardenforum co uk Become a Member Now Follow us on Newsletter Sign up to our popular News and

Of course it is not a good outcome that Scotts have purchased the knock down assets of a defunct Solus except to the very few employees that are left Scotts may of course have been prompted to gain control of Solus as they would have probably been by far its largest creditor and see the bringing in of the debts as a route to getting paid what they are owed directly by Garden Centres and Retail Nurseries by Solus The shame is that there is unlikely to be a very long lived Solus under Scotts control as most other manufacturers will decide if they haven t already to go direct or to choose another minor wholesaler route Maybe this might also be the time to ponder how the largest Garden Dry Goods Wholesaler in the UK with virtually no competition could go to the wall The reason would be of course a serious lack of cash flow brought on by diminished margins increased fixed costs and the major historical problem of Garden Centres and Retail Nurseries using a business like Solus as another very cheap credit line not paying their invoices on time There have been serious mistakes made as well by the Management at Solus the sourcing development manufacturing and marketing of own Brand ranges is a very expensive road to go down when you are a very large Garden Goods Wholesaler Not only are the costs up front and quite huge but there is also the impact that sourcing your own brand goods has on the rest of the manufacturers goods Solus wholesales Riding with the Hare and the Hounds does not work long term for good Supplier and Manufacturer relations Quite why anyone thought even in Gibbs Palmers day that creating new own brands to compete with the major branded goods was a good idea is a mystery to me All it will have achieved is greater costs to the wholesaler and to have pissed off quite a few existing manufacturers at the same time by diluting their own sales in that sector Why not work with the existing top leading brand Manufacturers to create new ranges just for the Independent Garden Centre sector In this way you have ranges that cannot be price compared outside the Independent Garden Centre sector the manufacturer pays for all the up front costs as they normally do and the wholesaler doesn t piss off his suppliers Share this Close Coffee Shop add a comment Add your comment to is it a good thing that Scotts has bought Solus Date Fri 12th Feb 2016 For verification we ask for your contact details We will publish your name not your contact details UNLESS you provide an alternative name for publication a pen name Name Email address Telephone Name for publication Comment Gardenforum may contact you in line with these Terms and Conditions If you would prefer us not to contact you please click here Do not contact me Close Submit comment Close
