all their decisions are based on political calculations designed to hold onto power and not on national interest I m with Kaitlyn top of the political reform agenda should be independence for Scotland Reply to Comment Election 2010 Conservative and Liberal Democrat Coalition Government ian Comment on Election 2010 Conservative and Liberal Democrat Coalition Government I agree with Sarah Scotland should be indipendant we should rebuild the wall then we will not have to bail out their bank with English money or subsidise every service they have if you had been indipendant during the financial crisis Greece would be lending you money Reply to Comment ian Comment on Election 2010 Conservative and Liberal Democrat Coalition Government I have voted LibDem for over 35 years because they seem to care about people and society After living and working under 18 years of Tory government i would never ever vote for them in a million years they proved themselves to be the most self centered hateful bunch of people i have ever come across Within 4 days the Liberals have betrayed everything i thought they stood for and for what a few measley seats in cabinet on inflated wages and their noses firmly in the trough I think they will regret supping with the devil for decades Reply to Comment Election 2010 Conservative and Liberal Democrat Coalition Government Willie Comment on Election 2010 Conservative and Liberal Democrat Coalition Government Your last comment is a bit rich given the one before it when was the last time the Liberals were in power Reply to Comment David Comment on Election 2010 Conservative and Liberal Democrat Coalition Government If you rule out a Labour Liberal Democrat rainbow coalition as a serious government it realistically wouldn t work long term you are left with a Conservative minority government propped up by the Lib Dems and others issue by issue or a Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government or no government at all and another election Another election right now would be awful for the country the markets would be destabilised and there might be a run on the pound causing more economic problems A Conservative minority government though an idealistic choice for Liberal Democrat supporters would mean the Lib Dems get very little for their voters would they get electoral reform for example You get a referendum on the alternative vote which should result in more Lib Dem MPs IF the country votes yes to it I m a Labour voter but can see the best choice right now is a Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition Medium term I think it benefits Labour most because the coalition will be blamed for the austerity measures but if you only look on this from a perspective of having a working government that can make decisions then a Conservative Lib Dem coalition was the only good choice assuming they can play nice together Isn t this what Liberal Democrats want to show progressive politics can work If this coalition

tighten his belt after he gives himself a big tax break The British public can t really be that gullible can they No matter who wins there should be no tax breaks no new programs unless it helps the economy It is not the time for pet frivolous pledges like cutting inheritance tax for the richest in society or raising pensions when those measures will not stimulate growth in the economy Would be great to give pensioners more cash but giving them more money is about securing their vote that money would be better spent training young people for the new manufacturing industries and when we are in decent growth look at giving pensioners more even then we won t be able to afford it as there will be more old people I m afraid unless there s a drastic change in our society old people are going to be getting a smaller share of the pie long term The next 5 years should be about stimulating growth in the economy while stabilising what we already have that works well the NHS is doing really well now After a parliament of prudence and growth is back on track the government can look at spending money on new pet projects It s like loosing your job and deciding to go on an expensive holiday for a month on a credit card Might sound like a good idea at the time but you are going to regret it pretty quickly With Greece having taken another step towards economic collapse not there yet none of the political parties should be talking about tax cuts etc if Greece s problems spread through Europe like some fear we will be back in financial trouble along with the rest of Europe and there will be nothing we can do about it I can t believe house prices have increased by 10 last year Peoples earnings are going down in real terms the cost of living has gone up house prices should still be falling or at best static while the economy catches up with the artificially inflated housing boom caused by greedy bankers MPs are stupid David Reply to Comment General Election BBC Live Prime Ministerial Debate in Birmingham J Gasper Comment on General Election BBC Live Prime Ministerial Debate in Birmingham Don t be taken in by the BBC They want you to believe there are only three parties to vote for Not true The LibLabCon are all crooks and even the new boy Nick Clegg took 3 5 million in illegal donations to his party then brazened it out They are all puppets of the EU which rules us now VOTE UKIP http juliagasper blogspot com 2010 04 clegg brazens it out html Reply to Comment MM Comment on General Election BBC Live Prime Ministerial Debate in Birmingham Gordon Brown was clearly panicking He simply attacked the other two repeatedly and rarely outlined anything sensible or helpful And Clegg s input was small compared

  • Whats the difference? I’ve watched the debates with great interest but I think
if you work for a living you will be screwed no matter who gets in People complain about Job tax which is ridiculous I fall little under the threshold for it but my wife doesn t she is a teacher and they harp on about education how will that look People complain about it and they are voting for it People complain about David Cameron that he will get rid of minimum wage and all kinds of other things which I have not heard him actually say but he too will screw the public sector out of money Nick Clegg seems the best bet to me but looking at the detailed manifesto perhaps Britain won t get much better If nobody wants to vote for him though he won t win anyway So again you work your screwed Pensioners are being branded in poverty how I know many including my Grandmother who keeps saying that all they do is complain when they do perfectly well Plus being 28 almost will there be a state pension for me one day I don t think so therfor the poverty pensioners should shut up at this point as I will have to work until I am dead and why do they always increase the working age for men and not women Men die decades earlier usually Once again work your screwed Vote for Change I like this saying as it suits all the parties the change is what you have left in your pocket each month after getting paid and having it taken away from you you get to live on your change enjoy it Popular Islamification of UK Far right political groups in the UK throughout Europe are Should Britain Leave the European Union Poll Found an interesting article on the BBC
