    like to say in return a big big thank you to everyone for helping make the fields of T C such a great place to visit explore and enjoy Participation and have a go activities seemed to be more popular than ever Zorbing Bubble Football Giant Twister and the Laughter Workshops provided light hearted fun for all ages and many adventurous people enjoyed the challenges of wire and slackline walking flying trapeze and host of other dare to try experiences 2015 s T C flash mob dance was entitled Do It Like Lionel and over 3 000 people turned up in Glebeland on the Thursday afternoon to do just that The invitation to dance on the ceiling was also taken up by the mainstage security team who could be seen giving it their all as Richie pumped out the song on the Pyramid Stage The creative juicer is already whirling away here at Theatre and Circus HQ T C talent spotters and artistic connoisseurs are out and about searching high and low for new acts experiences and diversions that we hope you can all enjoy come the summer For a taste of what to expect view our Theatre and Circus

    night you can hear some great music or listen to engaging speakers full details in the Glastonbury programme You can climb onto the top deck and watch the sunset with your cocktails or try our climbing wall which hangs off the front of the ship or if you dare you can descend down our nine metre drop slide Behind the ship our amazing skate ramp returns to Glastonbury It s the biggest mobile ramp in the country made entirely from forest friendly FSC approved wood Here you can learn to skate book the kids into workshops every morning or watch the pro skaters go airside and learn a trick or two while top DJ s make the music This year we are working to defend the Great Barrier Reef from coal companies destroying the sea bed home to humpback whales turtles and clownfish Greenpeace have built a huge fish that you can walkthrough Inside our friends at production company Snowbusiness will create a life like coral garden This space will be super cool think ultra violet sounds of the sea tropical fish it will be an interactivity space Within this area we ll talk about the problems that the Barrier Reef is facing and how you can help to save it Look out for the Plastic Monster It s scary but not as scary as the amount of discarded plastics so big that it s forming floating islands in the oceans that can be seen from space Our local vegetarian farmer s market that looks like a traditional fishing village will welcome thousands of hungry revellers over the weekend All of the traders are from the South West Festival goers can sit down in our boat shaped picnic tables and dine until the cows come home on freshly baked bread

    is something still with us today This concept was followed by a myriad of green events and became part of the counter culture Dale Vince from his new business Ecotricity was on the field for a couple of years running Windphones providing a valuable function of charging our new mobile phones using wind energy In 95 we provided the first ever solar powered internet cafe at a festival with Pilton s first ISDN line running all the way into the centre of the field Politics and campaigns are not ignored sometimes giving a voice to social issues that no mainstream media were interested in Not to forget The Criminal justice Bill of 1994 where Jean Vidler and Raga Woods with the help of the twirling and snaking rainbow banner led a peaceful march down to the main stage Permaculture was a new concept developing in the UK originally from Australia We remember an interesting conversation with Michael Eavis when we asked for a permanent permaculture area on the field Imagine our surprise when he not only agreed but offered to dig a pond to start it off In the mid nineties our small venues began to emerge The Mandala is a pedal powered venue inspired by a dear friend ex Sex Pistols producer and musician Dave Goodman Dave loved the concept of homemade energy and brought together a mixed concoction of musicians from his Music label Mandala including the Spacegoats and Japanese artists The Wind Travelling Band who incidentally brought 1000 Windbells It was Hiroki Okano who in 2000 brought some tiny embers of the flame taken from the tragedy of Hiroshmina in 1945 to the Green Futures Field I remember the erie experience of sitting next to the Peace Flame in the office caravan For safe keeping Quite a
