    watch the Women s Ashes Royal London One Day International ODI match at the ground on July 23 The visit which is part of the players role as Chance to Shine Coaching Ambassadors will see the England quartet deliver a Women s Ashes themed day of cricket activity for girls aged 8 15 Captain Charlotte Edwards is set to lead a power hitting practice Lydia Greenway will run a sweeping masterclass Danielle Wyatt will work with the bowlers and Tammy Beaumont wll help the girls develop the pull shot The players who will be assisted by coaches from the Gloucestershire Cricket Board will also take part in question and answer sessions run games and competitive net situations Speaking about the upcoming visit to Bristol England women s captain Charlotte Edwards said I am really looking forward to helping out at the girls coaching camp at the Bristol County Ground next week and hopefully inspiring the pupils to choose cricket In addition it s a perfect opportunity to spread the word locally about the Women s Ashes Royal London ODI at the Bristol County Ground on July 23 This summer we are aiming to win our third consecutive Women s Ashes series against Australia and we want all the support we can get We love playing in front of big passionate crowds so hopefully this will be the case in Bristol in July My role as a Chance to Shine Coaching Ambassador is brilliant as it allows me to combine playing international cricket with an opportunity to really make a difference at the grassroots of the game Tickets for the England v Australia Women s Ashes match are 1 for Under 19s and 10 for adults when booked in advance 15 on the day To book click here Marshall passes landmark

    12 strong group following injuries to Jodie Dibble Amy Jones and Laura Marsh The 23 year old s selection is reward for a number of impressive displays for the England Women s Academy against their Australian counterparts in Dubai recently Alex made important scores of 38 not out in the third one day game and 23 in the fourth to help her team level the series at 2 2 The training squad are led by England women s vice captain and former Gloucestershire Academy product Heather Knight During their 12 day stay in Colombo they will also play three one day matches against a Sri Lanka Women s A team on April 23 26 and 29 Speaking ahead of departing for Sri Lanka Heather Knight said the trip would provide valuable experience of different conditions especially for younger players like Macdonald She said It is a brilliant opportunity for some of the younger girls included in the group from across the England women s cricket pathway to gain some experience of playing in tough subcontinental conditions especially with the ICC World Twenty20 taking place in India next year In the short term the training camp will form a really important part in our preparation for this summer s Women s Ashes The players will arrive in Colombo on Sunday April 19 and will spend just under two weeks training under the guidance of England Women s Assistant Coach Carl Crowe and EWA Head Coach Lisa Keightley England women s cricketers to attend Sri Lanka batting and spin bowling training camp in full Stephanie Butler EWA Staffordshire Katherine Brunt EWPS Yorkshire Sophie Ecclestone EWDP U19 Cheshire Georgia Elwiss EWPS Sussex Rebecca Grundy EWPS Warwickshire Alex Hartley EWA Middlesex Danielle Hazell EWPS Yorkshire Heather Knight EWPS Berkshire Emma Lamb EWA Lancashire Alex

    s 11 age group squads During the afternoon the youngsters and their parents took part in a series of workshops run by Gloucestershire first team players coaches and staff from the Gloucestershire Cricket Board in the first event of its type These included a talk on having a winning mind set with 2005 Ashes winner and club captain Geraint Jones a batting workshop with academy director Owen Dawkins and stretching with club physio Steve Griffin Each junior squad also took part in a 15 minute Q and A session with members of the first team including new signings Peter Handscomb and Kieran Noema Barnett Geraint said If we can inspire half of the guys and girls out there to carry on playing cricket and carry on playing for Gloucestershire then our job is done and it s all worthwhile Parents heard from first team fitness coach Chris Bodman on nutrition while GCB head of performance Tim Hancock talked to them about the player pathway and the vital role they play in their child s cricketing development For more on the player and parent enrichment day click here Gloucestershire Cricket s head of marketing Emily Salvidge said It was a fantastic day and it was great to see so many people here from the media Their presence reflects the excitement and optimism everyone connected with Gloucestershire Cricket is feeling at the start of the new season It was brilliant to have our Marshall Members and county age group players come down and interact with the players We want all of our members junior players and supporters to feel they are part of the club and we hope they will come down and cheer us on during the summer Handscomb and Fuller head out for the photoshoot The whole squad in this
