    slower average speeds than occasional speedest net tests Speedtest usually gives d l of around 12 13 Mbps during most of the day whereas JDAST is usually showing about 7 9 with occasional jumps to about 12Mbps Is this normal or do I need to experiment more with settings I am not quite sure what the hooks are but willing to learn Top jackdinn Site Admin Posts 189 Joined Tue Jan 24 2012 11 44 am Location Norfolk UK Contact Contact jackdinn Website Re Just a comment Quote Post by jackdinn Tue Feb 04 2014 9 19 pm Hi Are we talking about a wireless connection here Unfortunately I cant easily release updates for jdast because of the many problems iv had with the antivirus companies see http www gmwsoftware co uk anti virus info html Plus this is an old project now and im onto other things im still quite happy to help with questions though RE the difference between speedtest net and jdast please try some deeper diagnostics Get a real time throughput monitor like NetMeter http www softpedia com get Network To eter shtml You could use the built in one i did called NetMon but lets use a completely external one just to double check everything properly Have it running and do some jdast tests see what your actual throughput is on netmeter for each test if netmeter is showing the same results then it seems this is actually what your downloading speed is for the files you have chosen Try setting jdast to only use a single file still check against netmeter but also check a manual download of the chosen file by downloading it in your browser Test with the throughput meter whilst doing a Speedtest net test and compare You don t have
