  • routerstats - JD's Auto Speed Tester
2014 11 54 am Can anyone explain why when i use my DGN2200 i get 50 pkt loss but when i use my HG521 i don t get any Top jackdinn Site Admin Posts 189 Joined Tue Jan 24 2012 11 44 am Location Norfolk UK Contact Contact jackdinn Website Re routerstats Quote Post by jackdinn Sun Jan 12 2014 12 11 pm hi its possible that one of your routers has some form of flood protection and is blocking half the pings because they are sent out to fast have a try increasing the packet delay setting under the ping tab of the configs this will set a longer delay between each packet you will notice the ping test takes a longer time to run because of the extra delays between each packet but its a trade off Try it and see how you go Many Thx JackDinn My software never has bugs it just develops random new features Top gannite6364 Posts 2 Joined Sun Jan 12 2014 11 37 am Re routerstats Quote Post by gannite6364 Sun Jan 12 2014 12 55 pm many thanks will give it a try Top Display posts from previous All posts 1

  • cannot resolve network adapter - JD's Auto Speed Tester
17 pm By network adapter does it mean my router Its a dlink dir 655 not too unusual Also when i do a speed check is it possible to choose a server that my isp uses Its virgin media and the basildon server If i can do this not sure how its done Lastly and I realise its unlikely you will be able to give a short answer but on wired i get a steady 31 33 mb but on wireless it fluctuates between 12 and 33 mb sometimes on the next test only a few minutes later Wondered what the most obvious things to look for as to why this might be happening Thanks again for a truly great program Top jackdinn Site Admin Posts 189 Joined Tue Jan 24 2012 11 44 am Location Norfolk UK Contact Contact jackdinn Website Re cannot resolve network adapter Quote Post by jackdinn Fri Oct 11 2013 6 33 am Hi You network adapters are the hardware usually inside your computer that does the connection to your router the other end of your eithernet cable not the router You can choose any downloadable file s that you have access to its unlikely your isp would offer such a test file but anyhow you want real world tests and jdast uses multiple good UK test files at the same time to test with so its unlikely testing with a single file from your isp would show more accurate results re wireless yea can be a pain but just google wireless speed problems and things to check its all been written about many times Thx Many Thx JackDinn My software never has bugs it just develops random new features Top Red dwarf4ever Posts 4 Joined Wed Oct 09 2013 12 02 pm Re cannot

started using your app on my pac and laptop very impressed Are you planning on a version for the ipad Secondly if i am downloading how will this affect a scheduled speed test Will it still be accurate Thanks Top jackdinn Site Admin Posts 189 Joined Tue Jan 24 2012 11 44 am Location Norfolk UK Contact Contact jackdinn Website Re Re ipad speedtest Quote Post by jackdinn Thu Oct 10 2013 12 29 pm Hi No i have pretty much moved on from jdast development now to other things if i am downloading how will this affect a scheduled speed test Will it still be accurate If you are using the network adapters to measure the throughput then in theory it should still measure properly see help file you can also set up a check to test if there is already something downloading and it will pass over that test You will find that setting in the configs under the No Testing tab at the bottom you will need to select your correct network adapter at the bottom of the general tab of the configs also see help file Thx Many Thx JackDinn My software never has bugs it
