  • JD's Auto Speed Tester • Incompatible results from Jdast on different OS computers
and for download and upload I adopted your defaults Computer 1 and 3 gave the same results on a 7Mbps connection with a traditional ADSL line or at least the results are compatible With the VDSL connection instead the results of 2 and 3 are similar even if the result of 2 is very erratic The results of 1 is totally different there is a gap of 10Mpps from the results of 2 and3 I can t understand where this difference comes from considering the 3 machines have the same JDast configuration even if 3 different OS With a slower connection the results seems compatible why now they are not Have you got an idea of what s happening Furthermore the results of JDast are very erratic while if I check with Ookla server in Amsterdam NL on speedtest http www speedtest net seems to be very stable on 27 8Mbps Have you got a monitor configuration fit for Italy Nobody can provide me in order to have common server to check the quality of the ISP and share with other Italians too I hope you can help me I can provide what you need Re Incompatible results from Jdast on different OS computer Posted Fri Apr 18 2014 11 28 am by tonibello Any suggestion about my question Thanks Re Incompatible results from Jdast on different OS computer Posted Tue Apr 22 2014 9 20 am by Jimmy06 The defaults do not download from 1 single location Re Incompatible results from Jdast on different OS computer Posted Wed Apr 23 2014 9 12 pm by tonibello Jimmy06 wrote The defaults do not download from 1 single location Yes you right but have you got an explanation about my issue Re Incompatible results from Jdast on different OS computer Posted

  • Testing one connection with 2 computers - surprise...! - JD's Auto Speed Tester
on the other computer The Internet connection comes from a Sierra Wireless AC754s which receives a WAN signal from a tower 2 miles from my house and broadcasts a wireless LAN signal inside my house One computer is an older ACER laptop running Win 98 and JDast The other computer is a new Lenovo X1 Carbon ultrabook running Win8 and JDast I made sure both copies of JDast had the same config US based download servers my own website as an upload server and google com for the ping test server Here are the overnight results from the ACER Note that only two of the tests looked decent with down speeds around 10 Mb s Now the results from the Lenovo Now nearly all of the tests are good And the only two bad tests on the Lenovo coincide with the only two good tests on the ACER Not to put too fine a point on it but what the hell is going on here Scott Top jackdinn Site Admin Posts 189 Joined Tue Jan 24 2012 11 44 am Location Norfolk UK Contact Contact jackdinn Website Re Testing one connection with 2 computers surprise Quote Post by jackdinn Wed Jul 17 2013 3 30 pm Hi I would double check the win98 comp by manually downloading some of the test files through your browser whilst watching the throughput on a live meter like net meter or jdasts one netmon Could it be a problem with one of your wireless receivers can you try swapping them if pos Many Thx JackDinn My software never has bugs it just develops random new features Top jackdinn Site Admin Posts 189 Joined Tue Jan 24 2012 11 44 am Location Norfolk UK Contact Contact jackdinn Website Re Testing one connection with 2 computers
