HTTP HTPS DownLoad Testing traffic is using Internet Explorer s LAN Settings and sending traffic via the proxy that way that s why it works correct Is there a way to send the UpLoad Testing FTP traffic via a proxy as well If not can you please add this feature for the next release Many corporations use proxy servers so it would be great if you could make this program proxy aware by allowing users who use a proxy server to enter in their details in the config settings Thanks Re FTP UpLoad Testing Posted Tue Feb 11 2014 11 30 am by jackdinn Hi I assume that the HTTP HTPS DownLoad Testing traffic is using Internet Explorer s LAN Settings and sending traffic via the proxy that way that s why it works correct I assume so most of jdast is scripted using AutoIt and the download part is just a InetGet command Is there a way to send the UpLoad Testing FTP traffic via a proxy as well If not can you please add this feature for the next release Sorry but there is not a way to route the upload through a proxy I had many many problems getting the upload working properly for most home users i even ended up building a child exe in C just to get it as right as AutoIt had some odd problems for some people with the upload Unfortunately it is highly unlikely there will be any more updates as i had so much trouble with the anti virus companies upon each update please read http www gmwsoftware co uk anti virus info html and also this is now an old project that i have moved on from I have thought i might do a jdast2 completely using c but

  • JD's Auto Speed Tester • Run as Service?
is under the main menu near the bottom called Jdast as a service control suggestions to start out leave the user account as is enter your user account password click install service wait a sec click start service if you get a status of INDETERMINATE then try clicking stop and start again don t forget your firewall as the service runs as JDast service exe Use the JDast process normal program to change configs and see the data graph etc but don t forget to turn it off if your using the service because if you leave both the jdast process and the service running at the same time for to long as they will fight for resources when running tests and im not sure what could happen there once you have made changes to the configs on the main program you need to open the service control window and click the button Refresh service configurations this will pass the new configs on to the service good luck hope its what your after please let me know how you go thx JD p s its a beta so still probably has some things that need doing Re Run as Service Posted Mon Jul 16 2012 12 26 pm by jackdinn I have tided and tinkered with the jdast service and the wake up modes and have just put it out as the next beta v17 7 4 Direct download link http www gmwsoftware co uk files beta taller exe I have also added as much info as i can to the help file about these new functions please read them Please check it out and let me know if its as you would like it Cheers JD Re Run as Service Posted Mon Jul 23 2012 1 14 pm by networksupport Hi JD Thanks for this just picked up the reply I will gice the beat a try and let you know how I get on Thanks Ryan Re Run as Service Posted Tue Jul 31 2012 5 14 pm by networksupport Hi JD I am affraid that I am having trouble getting the JDast Service to install I have followed the instructions and each time I press Install Service I see the service staus change to installing and then back to Service Stauts UN INSTALLED I have downloading a the Beta again restarting my pc several times but to no avail I am running windows 7 enterprise 32 bit Thanks again for all your help in coming up with the beta Regards Ryan Re Run as Service Posted Tue Jul 31 2012 7 04 pm by jackdinn well it has been tested on many systems now and has always worked however i cant say that about win7 enterprise It could be your corporate OS why the service does not install Im just using INSTSRV EXE SRVANY EXE see http support microsoft com kb 137890 Re Run as Service Posted Tue Feb 11 2014 5 50 am by arazad networksupport
