Sponsorship Forms Photo Gallery Heartbeat House Heartbeat House Relatives Stories News News GRAND PRIZE DRAW Patient Stories Adopt A Room for Christmas Andy Kelly s reason for adopting Sometimes we don t know what to give for Christmas Sometimes we just want to do something for a cause that touches our hearts Could this be a cause to touch your heart Here s what happened to one young family parents Andy Kelly Sparks lively toddler Logan and newly born Amie and the reason why they decided to adopt a room in Heartbeat House Little Amie was born in the Princess Anne Hospital when Kelly was transferred from her local hospital in Yeovil after a scan revealed that her baby had a potentially serious heart condition That s why after Amie was born on 5 December the Cardiac Centre swung into gear to diagnose and begin to treat her and Andy Kelly and Logan found themselves in Heartbeat House During the festive period they were separated from family and friends and looking forward to the prospect of Christmas Day away from home In those difficult circumstances Heartbeat House was a lifeline for the family which is why Kelly has nothing but thanks for being able to stay at the House You wait for 9 months longing to see your baby and then at the moment when you get to hold her you find out she really does have a serious heart condition Thankfully she is a little fighter doing better than the doctors could have hoped but she will need surgery in the future I really don t know what Andy and I would have done if we hadn t had a room in Heartbeat House and we are so grateful We will definitely be adopting a room when we leave
