    Who Dares Wins Challenge Events Tandem Skydive Wight Challenge Southampton Half Marathon Sahara Trek Morrisons Great South Run Hendy Ford Eastleigh 10K Road Race Just Walk 2016 Fundraising Pack Sponsorship Forms Photo Gallery Heartbeat House Heartbeat House Relatives Stories News News GRAND PRIZE DRAW Patient Stories Delux Dulux Makeover for Heartbeat House They were fantastic Wessex Heartbeat s accommodation for relatives of cardiac patients was the scene of frenetic activity when 10 enthusiastic volunteers from the Trade Contractor Specifier Team of the South West Region of Dulux took on a marathon redecorating task in just two days Bringing their skill and expertise in using the right paints in the right way the team transformed areas of Heartbeat House and it s family Annexe in double quick time resulting in as little disruption as possible to House guests For the past 4 years Dulux under its parent company AkzoNobel has supported charities in this way benefiting hospices facilities for people with disabilities and now Heartbeat House Joe Ellis explained the company policy None of us is doing this for the glory Dulux is keen to contribute to communities across the country and we know that in doing this much needed decorating for Wessex Heartbeat more of the Charity s money can go where it should go to keep Heartbeat House running and help patients and their families That s all the motivation we need to do the best job that we can Wessex Heartbeat Chief Executive Alison Farrell was full of praise for the Company and the team of decorators Heartbeat House costs the Charity about 75k every year We have no subsidies or grants so every penny we spend is money donated through the generosity of the public and our supporters It is a crucial facility for relatives and that

    Who Dares Wins Challenge Events Tandem Skydive Wight Challenge Southampton Half Marathon Sahara Trek Morrisons Great South Run Hendy Ford Eastleigh 10K Road Race Just Walk 2016 Fundraising Pack Sponsorship Forms Photo Gallery Heartbeat House Heartbeat House Relatives Stories News News GRAND PRIZE DRAW Patient Stories Fingers Crossed Guernsey Will Help A Public Meeting about Heartbeat House Wessex Heartbeat is putting out a call to anyone in Guernsey interested in finding out more about the Charity s Heartbeat House to come to a meeting on 2 December at Les Cotils starting at 6 00pm Heartbeat House provides free accommodation for relatives of Cardiac patients while their loved ones are being treated in hospital in Southampton and Cardiac Consultant Samantha Fitzsimmons from Guernsey will fly over to talk about what the facility means for relatives and patients Last year nearly 300 people from Guernsey with heart conditions were referred to the world renowned specialist Cardiac Centre in Southampton and many relatives travelling with loved ones stayed at Heartbeat House which is just a few minutes walk from the wards Wessex Heartbeat Chief Executive Alison Farrell is clear about how important the facility is to those taking advantage of the accommodation Heartbeat House is a safe refuge where you need it when you need it for as long as you need it and every day we see how crucial that is to relatives The added benefits come from guests giving each other mutual support and patients faring better knowing their loved ones are on hand The 75k a year needed to keep Heartbeat House running is funded entirely through donations and the hope is that people in Guernsey may want to help by fundraising Nigel Dorey President of Guernsey Rotary Club which has already adopted a room in Heartbeat House is backing
