    with Choirs 2016 Remedy Oak Golf Day 2016 Golf at Goodwood Community Events Hearts and Smiles Golf Day Charity Boxing Who Dares Wins Challenge Events Tandem Skydive Wight Challenge Southampton Half Marathon Sahara Trek Morrisons Great South Run Hendy Ford Eastleigh 10K Road Race Just Walk 2016 Fundraising Pack Sponsorship Forms Photo Gallery Heartbeat House Heartbeat House Relatives Stories News News GRAND PRIZE DRAW Patient Stories Standing Ovations for the HIGH 5 Variety Show at the Mayflower Audiences were delighted by the fantastic display of young talent at the HIGH 5 Variety Show at the Mayflower on Sunday 10 March Every act was enthusiastically applauded and the SJ Dance Academy s performance of Insomnia as well as Thornden School s concert version of Les Miserables received standing ovations Mike Osman acted as compere for the evening s entertainment The Variety Show opened with an amazing performance of 60s Soul music by Cams Hill School featuring choir soloists and a live band Special guest soloist Olivia Snow kept up the toe tapping pace with her strong version of Baltimore from Hairspray and Wildern School s young soloist Chole Rice stunned the audience with Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again from Phantom of the opera WIldern also performed the drama Don t Feed the Animals by Jemma Kennedy and a duologue the Lying Kind by Anthony Neilson The first half concluded with Alice in Wonderland beautifully danced by the younger members of the SJ Academy of Dance and Otterbourne C E Primary School performing Pinafore Pirates a charming amusing and colourful exert from a longer show to be performed at Thornden Hall in June In the second half Olivia Snow and the SJ Academy of Dance each performed again but topping and tailing was E Minor Pop Academy with its very lively

    Giving Adopt a Room Events Heartbeat Events Dancing with Choirs 2016 Remedy Oak Golf Day 2016 Golf at Goodwood Community Events Hearts and Smiles Golf Day Charity Boxing Who Dares Wins Challenge Events Tandem Skydive Wight Challenge Southampton Half Marathon Sahara Trek Morrisons Great South Run Hendy Ford Eastleigh 10K Road Race Just Walk 2016 Fundraising Pack Sponsorship Forms Photo Gallery Heartbeat House Heartbeat House Relatives Stories News News GRAND PRIZE DRAW Patient Stories A Great Night at Berties The latest Come Dine With Us evening for the HIGH 5 Appeal held at the popular Berties restaurant in Romsey was a resounding success Eighty people enjoyed three courses of fine dining accompanied by entertainment from the young and talented Michael Buble style singer Liam White In what is becoming a regular happening for Come Dine With Us events diners kicked off their inhibitions to dance in the aisles of the restaurant Wessex Heartbeat Events Manager Tina Richardson was delighted It was a lovely warm and friendly evening We are very grateful to David Birmingham and his fantastic team for making everyone so welcome and helping to give us a night to remember The HIGH 5 Appeal is now well underway and we re keen to involve people in Romsey including Romsey schools as part of our strategy to engage young people in supporting fellow young people with heart conditions Sometimes it s not recognised that anyone in Wessex with a serious heart condition young or old will be referred to Southampton so this Appeal is definitely for all of us in the Region The 891 74 raised at the event was boosted in part by the presence of Hearty our little rhino who also very handily acts as a moneybox when he is out and about in public So well

    Challenge Events Tandem Skydive Wight Challenge Southampton Half Marathon Sahara Trek Morrisons Great South Run Hendy Ford Eastleigh 10K Road Race Just Walk 2016 Fundraising Pack Sponsorship Forms Photo Gallery Heartbeat House Heartbeat House Relatives Stories News News GRAND PRIZE DRAW Patient Stories Philip runs for Love Helping to speed Joshua s recovery In January 2013 29 year old Joshua Panton contracted glandular fever Only two months later he was extremely ill in intensive care at the Royal United Hospital in Bath where he was diagnosed with a heart infection Following that diagnosis Joshua was transferred by emergency ambulance to the Cardiac services at Southampton General Hospital Joshua s mother Angie was fearful that he might not recover They told us it was unlikely that he would recover and he might not even make the journey to Southampton in the ambulance If his heart had stopped they would not have been able to get it going again Although doctors in the Cardiac Unit were concerned that Joshua might be too weak for an operation they did undertake surgery on the day after his move replacing his heart valve with a mechanical valve When he was taken off external support he traumatically suffered complete organ failure and was in intensive care for a further 3 weeks Recovery has been slow but mercifully Joshua is on the road to regaining his health His partner Victoria is over the moon I have to keep pinching myself since we so nearly lost Joshua and the first time he was able to walk outside was like a miracle Throughout Joshua s period in hospital Victoria and Joshua s Mother have been staying in Heartbeat House and this has provided a sanctuary for them at the most difficult of times Victoria couldn t praise the House

    Volunteer Sponsor an Event Join In Healthy Heart Cause Related Marketing Company Giving Adopt a Room Events Heartbeat Events Dancing with Choirs 2016 Remedy Oak Golf Day 2016 Golf at Goodwood Community Events Hearts and Smiles Golf Day Charity Boxing Who Dares Wins Challenge Events Tandem Skydive Wight Challenge Southampton Half Marathon Sahara Trek Morrisons Great South Run Hendy Ford Eastleigh 10K Road Race Just Walk 2016 Fundraising Pack Sponsorship Forms Photo Gallery Heartbeat House Heartbeat House Relatives Stories News News GRAND PRIZE DRAW Patient Stories aap3 puts 4000 in the net for the HIGH 5 Appeal Footy Comp was a big hit Not only is aap3 a brilliant company it s also brilliant at organising the hugely successful football competition held at AFC Totton s Testwood Stadium on Bank Holiday Sunday 15 local firms took part in the 6 a side tournament and the competition was fierce with Power Mortgages and Arqiva coming out on top The two finalists won the opportunity to battle it out for first place at the Saints ground at St Mary s later in the Spring a prize worth fighting for Sadly despite a brave attempt the scratch Wessex Heartbeat Team did not make it through but we cheered on our boys and were enormously grateful to them for turning out to play Alongside the dramas on the field families were treated to a fun day with bouncy castle and other entertainment with Wessex Heartbeat manning a stall and a guess the number of sweets in a jar competition On guard but loved by the children was Hearty the Rhino in his role as a money box All in all it was a fabulous day and our very grateful thanks go to Rod Jackson President and CEO of aap3 and the whole aap3 team
