    2016 Fundraising Pack Sponsorship Forms Photo Gallery Heartbeat House Heartbeat House Relatives Stories News News GRAND PRIZE DRAW Patient Stories DANCING WITH CHOIRS IS UP IN LIGHTS GET YOUR TICKETS NOW The action is normally on the stage at the Mayflower Theatre so passers by were surprised to see acts from Wessex Heartbeat s next production Dancing with Choirs in the Theatre foyer dressed up and looking ready to perform With Dancing with Choirs in lights on digital displays inside and outside the Mayflower we decided the time was right to officially launch the Show to be held on Sunday 18 May Featuring the very best of local talent and hosted once again by comedian Mike Osman a total of nearly 500 choristers and dancers are all set to bring a wide tender and toe tapping variety of music and dance styles to life in an exciting Show Programme with a difference Choirs taking part are Romsey Male Voice Choir Spinnaker Chorus E Minor Pop Academy Hampshire Collegiate Prep School and the Mayflower s own Musical Youth Theatre Dancing with them the Tori Caine School of Dancing Parkewood School of Dance Sue Merrett School of Dance A L Dance Academy Studio So The Point Adult Tap and last but not least Dance 8 Wessex Heartbeat Chief Executive Alison Farrell summed up the excitement felt by the Charity and the performers This is an ambitious undertaking for a charity but the stakes are high for us in our determination to give young people with heart conditions the right place to be treated while they are in hsoptial as soon as we are able That s why all of us organising and performing are clear that in delivering the best for the audience we will bring closer the best that can be

    Race Just Walk 2016 Fundraising Pack Sponsorship Forms Photo Gallery Heartbeat House Heartbeat House Relatives Stories News News GRAND PRIZE DRAW Patient Stories GOADSBY PLEDGES ITS SUPPORT All 27 Offices are on board to help We were over the moon when David Errington Group CEO of Goadsby told us that the Company and all of its 27 offices across central southern England would be pledging their support by taking the Charity as their Charity of the Year in 2014 Goadsby is one of the largest estate agents in the South with an 11 million turnover and a strong ethic around focusing its fundraising efforts on one major cause a year David Errington spoke of his determination to make a difference for Wessex Heartbeat over the year Improving cardiac care in Southampton is a cause that s potentially important to all of our 270 employees and their family and friends Amongst other things we are supporting the Charity s major Show Dancing with Choirs at the Mayflower Theatre sponsoring its popular golf day at Remedy Oak holding quiz nights and a Company summer family day as well as encouraging staff to take up sponsored challenges of all kinds We are all on board to doing as much as we can and I am personally taking a lead in making this happen As well as funding Heartbeat House leading edge equipment and clinical education Wessex Heartbeat is encouraging people to fundraise for the FINAL PUSH for the Echo backed 500k HIGH 5 Appeal to create a specially designed ward for young people with life long heart conditions Alison Farrell said Goadsby s support was just what was needed It s fantastic that David and his team have pledged so much to help us meet the needs of cardiac patients and their relatives

    GRAND PRIZE DRAW Patient Stories Eric Robinson Solicitors get on their bikes for Wessex Heartbeat A team of 10 solicitors from Southampton s leading independent legal practice Eric Robinson Solicitors raised over 1 300 pounds in a charity 50 mile cycle ride as part of celebrations for the firm s Golden Anniversary http www heartbeat co uk article eric robinson solicitors get on their bikes for wessex heartbeat Battling through cold and rain members of the Eric Robinson Solicitors rose to the physical challenge of cycling over 50 miles across the Southampton region visiting each of the firm s five branches along the way Starting at the firm s Carlton Crescent offices in Southampton city centre the team rode to catch the ferry to Hythe then cycled through Marchwood Totton and Romsey before pushing forward on to their offices in Chandlers Ford The cyclists then carried on their route through Twyford Bishop s Waltham and visited colleagues in Hedge End before finally arriving at the firm s offices in the centre of Bitterne As it is Eric Robinson Solicitors 50 th birthday this year we wanted to do a course with the same number of miles as part of our celebrations said Managing Partner and member of the team Catherine Maxfield We actually rode 51 6 miles with an average speed 11 3 miles per hour The team had undertaken training that was donated by Paul Laslett of Southampton Personal Training company Brightside PT We completed the course in seven hours 33 minutes and a second with just over four and a half hours in motion explained Cathy I don t think some of us could have done that without support from Paul and Brightside PT and we are also grateful to VANKRU cycling in the Mountbatten Business Centre for
