    Ford Eastleigh 10K Road Race Just Walk 2016 Fundraising Pack Sponsorship Forms Photo Gallery Heartbeat House Heartbeat House Relatives Stories News News GRAND PRIZE DRAW Patient Stories THE SUN SHONE ON WESSEX HEARTBEAT GOLFERS Remedy Oak Golf Day 24 teams of 4 took to the fairways enjoying some of the best spring sunshine at the renowned Remedy Oak Golf Club to support Wessex Heartbeat s ongoing mission to help improve cardiac care at the Wessex Cardiac Centre in Southampton The annual event was sponsored this year by Goadsby Estate Agents as part of the Company s decision to fundraise for the Charity over the whole of 2014 The good humoured competitive day saw a team headed by Alex Pike Manager of Gosport Borough Football Club and Mike Barnham of Fareham based European Pipelines take home the winner s Alan Ball Trophy Sponsors Goadsby came a close second a team from Liberty Leasing in Southampton were third and out of area team Morstoves Amersham were fourth At the Alternative Auction run by local businessman Bob Kemp of Kemp s Quay golfers adopted 10 rooms in Wessex Heartbeat s Heartbeat House and refurnished the lounge in the House family annexe and bought 5 TVs for children undergoing treatment in the Cardiac Centre as well as bidding for other auction prizes The total amount raised from the day was 11 500 David Errington from Goadsby said We at Goadsby are proud to support Wessex Heartbeat as our main charity of the year and to be in involved in such a prestigious golf day on such a course was a privilege Wessex Heartbeat s Tina Richardson was also delighted with the success of the event It was fantastic having the maximum number of teams playing and the golfers many of whom support us every

    an Event Join In Healthy Heart Cause Related Marketing Company Giving Adopt a Room Events Heartbeat Events Dancing with Choirs 2016 Remedy Oak Golf Day 2016 Golf at Goodwood Community Events Hearts and Smiles Golf Day Charity Boxing Who Dares Wins Challenge Events Tandem Skydive Wight Challenge Southampton Half Marathon Sahara Trek Morrisons Great South Run Hendy Ford Eastleigh 10K Road Race Just Walk 2016 Fundraising Pack Sponsorship Forms Photo Gallery Heartbeat House Heartbeat House Relatives Stories News News GRAND PRIZE DRAW Patient Stories A Great Day for a Great Walk Hampshire Collegiate Prep School On a lovely slightly overcast but warm afternoon 210 children aged 3 to 11 skipped ran or walked around the beautiful rural grounds of Hampshire Colllegiate School to raise money for Wessex Heartbeat With their teachers the children were challenged to do as many laps of a laid out walk as possible and for one young man that was a grand total of 11 laps done at a run The fantastic efforts of everyone involved were rewarded with cooling water and home baked cookies There is a prize for the child with the highest level of sponsorship and the School Houses competed to come out top in the amount raised collectively by House pupils When we know how they did we ll make sure we tell you as well Alison Farrell and Ken Wilde thanked all the young people and the School for doing so much for the Charity Music Teacher Kay Francis and the children who performed so well in our recent Show at the Mayflower Theatre helped us raise funds in May This walk is a lovely way for everyone to do even more for young people with heart conditions It was also a most enjoyable way for us to spend a summer

    at Goodwood Community Events Hearts and Smiles Golf Day Charity Boxing Who Dares Wins Challenge Events Tandem Skydive Wight Challenge Southampton Half Marathon Sahara Trek Morrisons Great South Run Hendy Ford Eastleigh 10K Road Race Just Walk 2016 Fundraising Pack Sponsorship Forms Photo Gallery Heartbeat House Heartbeat House Relatives Stories News News GRAND PRIZE DRAW Patient Stories Wilton Rotarians Show They Care At a Monday meeting of Wilton Rotary Club Wessex Heartbeat showed its gratitude to members for their generous support of the Charity over the past year and thanked them for donations totalling 950 00 The money will be used to benefit patients at the world renowned Wessex Cardiac Centre in Southampton which treats people from across the Wessex Region including the Salisbury area The club invited Wessex Heartbeat for dinner and to give a presentation to members on both the work of the Cardiac Centre and the Charity itself Melanie Finch Congenital Heart Nurse Specialist gave a moving report of her role working with patients with complex heart conditions while Wessex Heartbeat s Tina Richardson outlined how much the Charity has done over the 22 years of its life to help improve cardiac care and Ken Wilde brought everyone up to date with the latest HIGH 5 Appeal to create a special ward in the Cardiac Centre for young people with life long heart problems Members were given the news that the Appeal very recently reached its 500 000 target but Ken Wilde emphasised that the job is not quite finished and fundraising will continue to kit out the ward to make it as normal as possible an environment for patients in hospital for long periods of time Club Secretary David Huckfield said Having made two donations already to Wessex Heartbeat totalling 950 since last July we were
