    Primary School Teacher January 2014 Town Tour All courses begin with a tour of Exeter usually on the Monday afternoon of your first week Our guide will meet you and give you some background information about Exeter before heading out into the city A guided walk of approximately 2 hours includes entry to our beautiful Cathedral and an introduction to the most significant sites of Exeter At the end of the tour our guide will make sure you take the correct bus home DARTMOOR national park Dartmoor National Park is one of the largest areas of natural parkland in the UK It is a wonderful escape from the hurly burly of everyday modern living This is a chance to enjoy the simple pleasure of nature at her wildest You might bump into a Dartmoor pony on your trip If the weather is suitable you will walk from Hound Tor to Haytor a walk of around 4km taking in some of the most impressive scenery If rain she should fall you will visit the village of Widecombe in the Moor famous for its annual Widecombe Fair and its place in Devon Folklore South Devon Dartington Dartmouth This three part excursion weather permitting usually takes place on the second Wednesday of your course and includes stops at Dartington Hall and Gardens Blackpool Sands and the estuary side town of Dartmouth You will discover the unusual and captivating story of Dartington Hall and enjoy the breathtaking coastal scenery of South Devon A short stop at the idyllic Blackpool Sands and then it s back on the bus and into Dartmouth The Pilgrim Fathers set sail from Dartmouth heading out into dark dangerous seas and the new world beyond For Fish and Chips you could do no better than Rockfish Tintagel and Boscastle On

    Cathy Pickles have more than 25 years experience of leading teacher training courses with IPC They have inspired enthused and empowered many thousands of teachers from all over Europe Both Cathy and Carol continue to lead courses themselves Carol specialising in our Primary CLIL and Literature courses Cathy in our British Institutions CLIL and Secondary courses whilst also managing the IPC teacher training programme developing new courses and developing our very special team of trainers Carol dances the Salsa makes soup and enjoys singing Cathy loves her Mini flamboyant shoes boots and scarves and enjoys family life with Richard IPC ACCOMMODATION OFFICER Tina Jeffery Tina knows Exeter and Exeter life very well having grown up in the city and worked in some very well known city centre eateries Tina enjoys working with our team of host families and enjoys the challenge of finding the right homestay host for each of our visiting students and teachers Clare is proud to uphold our motto for host families Friendliness and Cleanliness is what Clare looks for when she visits new families who hope to host for IPC Outside work Tina enjoys yoga healthy eating and the great outdoors IPC PROJECTS ASSISTANT Beth Baker Beth is a second year student at the University of Exeter Studying English she is interested in language and literature and also music she managed the University Orchestra and plays flute viola and piccolo Beth is helping out in the IPC office this summer before heading off for her Erasmus year in Munich IPC ENROLMENTS MANAGER Nick Floyd Nick assists teachers from all over Europe as they enrol for IPC courses and apply for EU funding Nick will always do what he can to assist you with your application or any questions relating to your course He will answer your
