  • Talking to Rising Stars Kitten and Bear | Lakefe5t
you were to describe yourself your band in one word what would it be Mellow Whatâ s been the best moment of your music career so far I think one of the best moments for us was supporting Dog is dead along with To Kill a King It was such a surreal night and so much fun Also it was at Gloucester Guildhall which is local to us and we love playing there so it was just a great night Overall When you were starting out who were your biggest influences musically We were brought up listening to the likes of The Beatles The Beach Boys Joni Mitchell and James Taylor So i think subconsciously they influenced us a lot in the way of melodies and song writing How has your style of music changed from when you first started playing When we first started we were very stripped back so our sound was very simplistic and still is Except Katy has recently started playing the Piano which has helped a lot to fill out our sound and help us think of new ideas for songs Whatâ s the best thing about playing at a festival I think the fact that most of the audiences you are playing too have never seen you before so its always exciting to have a great response from an audience of strangers Also just everyone at festivals is so happy and care free which makes performing so much more fun Whatâ s your favourite colour Katy Turqouise Rob Green If you could trade places with any band or musician for a week who would it be and why Everything Everything because there recent album is amazing and they seem like they have some fun with their live shows If you could have one wish

  • Official Lakefest cider provider Westons Cider | Lakefe5t
on our festival Located in the Herefordshire village of Much Marcle Westons Cider has been committed to producing the very best traditionally made cider for over 130 years since Henry Weston first moved to the village and started making cider in 1880 Much Marcle is situated right in the heart of Herefordshire which is well known as the core of the UKâ s cider making industry At Westons we believe that the old ways are the best and as such we still use old oak vats to slowly mature our cider which can take up to 8 months  By using this technique and only using bitter sweet and bitter sharp cider apples we ensure that quality is never compromised and that we develop ciders which are full of flavour character and are simple bursting with fruit At Westons we are pleased to be the official cider of Lakefest As an event which showcases the very best local cider and some great music Lakefest makes a fantastic weekend break which we are proud to support While at the event keep an eye out for some of our employees who attend the festival every year to soak up the amazing atmosphere
