excellent band at venues and festival appearances worldwide We caught up with the Original Rude Boy ahead of his Lakefest performance Youâ re well known as the Original Rude Boy â are there any other nicknames you have  Apart from being called  Original Rudeboy and Rudeboy I get called Stapes by some close friends  Do you prefer performing in larger national venues or smaller events I love performing anywhere really but do love the feel and intimacy of some smaller venues as you get closer to the fans However festivals are a great place to perform to families which is great as a lot of kids follow my music Whatâ s your best memory of performing so far I loved performing with Amy Winehouse it was such an honour and she was such a great fan of us and I was a great fan of her She did awesome versions of some of our tracks too I also really enjoyed sharing the stage with so many great reggae musicians at the Reggae Britannia event for BBC4 Who are your music non music idols I don t really have anyone in particular to be honest as I appreciate and respect so many artists however Jerry Dammers is still one of my idols as he brought me in from being a crew member of the Coventry Automatics into being a full member of The Specials Plus my cousin Alvin who introduced me to my early toasting and DJ ing for big sounds system dances long before The Specials It was my chatty lyrical toasting that Jerry noticed and wanted in The Specials to give it some proper Jamaican flavour What is your favourite song to perform  A Message to You Rudy Monkey Man and Ghost Town are all
