  • Giles gives an injury update on Tom Smith - Lancashire County Cricket Club
he returns from a back injury which resulted the all rounder to miss all but one game in the 2015 season Tom is going really well but it is the same line from us softly softly We need to make sure when he comes back he comes back right He is batting fully facing bowlers bowling machine pulling sweeping and he s starting to bowl through as well He hasn t bowled at any batsmen yet but he s been running through and doing his drills which is great He s probably further ahead than where we thought he would be So far there haven t been any complications or set backs which is really good for him It s obviously been an incredibly frustrating time for him and it s fantastic for us To have someone like him back in the fold even in training with his experience is really valuable We ll take our time with him and make sure he s absolutely ready Lancashire are back in the top flight of the County Championship in 2016 and will be defending the NatWest T20 Blast title as well as searching for glory in the Royal London One Day
