    14th July 2015 Hill brothers lead Lutterworth to win Leicestershire batsman Lewis Hill made a third league century in his fifth innings of the season as Lutterworth and Sileby kept the pressure on Everards Premier Division leaders Kibworth with 30 point wins Hill made a fine 101 and captain Ollie Pickering fell one short of his century as Lutterworth posted 287 6 at Leicester Road Lewis s brother Alec then claimed 5 40 including two wickets in consecutive balls in the final over as Syston were bowled out for 234 Sileby put 268 6 on the board against Leicester Ivanhoe thanks in large to Luke Gale s 79 Although Leicestershire Academy player Sam Evans made a fine 82 as Ivanhoe started well his side were dismissed for 169 That meant the teams are now on 259 points 17 behind Kibworth who powered to a seven wicket win at home to Kegworth Town were in all kinds of trouble on 108 8 but got up to 218 8 courtesy of late order unbeaten half centuries from Gareth Isaac and Alex Fletcher Pite van Biljoen 85 Darren Shaw 53 and Charlie Page Morris 45 who earlier took three wickets along with Matt Bashford were in the runs for Kibworth Barrow Town cruised to a nine wicket win at Thorpe Arnold to remain in fourth position Ramesh Kara 99 and Leicestershire Young Cricketer Yuvraj Odedra 36 putting on an opening stand of 102 as they chased a target of 167 inside 23 overs There was a third successive 30 point haul for a Loughborough Town side that are fifth having peaked at a good time Anish Patel batted through an innings of 247 8 with an unbeaten 106 and his partnership for the eighth wicket with Martin Gidley who struck 40 off 29

    face another tough test against a side who recorded victory inside two days against Northamptonshire on the ground last week The Festival atmosphere has traditionally brought the best out of Leicestershire who are unbeaten in their last eight Championship visits to the charming College Ground Indeed you have to go back to 1933 to find the club s last first class defeat on the ground when Les Berry made a century opening the batting and George Geary and Ewart Astill were the first change bowlers McDonald said Gloucestershire had a fairly convincing win against Northants at this ground last week and are not a team that can be taken lightly But we need to have a look at our own performances of late and bounce back from that We have had some poor results in the Championship in the last four rounds and we can t shy away from that We need to improve and are doing our utmost to improve but the real acid test is when you get out in the centre We ve done a lot of talking and planning for the Championship and other formats but now is the time for us to start delivering in the middle where it counts Angus Robson comes into the game as Leicestershire s top scorer The opener has racked up 812 first class runs over 11 matches with an average of 36 90 Vice captain Ned Eckersley has scored 669 runs in 11 matches and skipper Mark Cosgrove comes in as the next highest scorer hitting a total of 580 runs over the season averaging 32 22 Ben Raine needs just six more wickets to move to 50 in first class cricket for the season and Charlie Shreck is hot on Raine s heels racking up 41 wickets so
