    game to fit the brief and help students navigate Scotland s capital city Event Details Date July 2015 Venue University of Edinburgh Format 3 x half day events Guests 47 participants in total Objectives The overall objective was to enhance the Visit University guest experience of Edinburgh by encouraging participants to explore the city discover useful information facts navigate to points of interests student venues facilities and make new friends Teams self navigated to inspire learning and spend time together to find out what Edinburgh had to offer as a city and as a student destination What we did Using Wildgoose Scotland technology we designed and built a Visit University branded treasure hunt The route highlighted parts of Edinburgh s old town and drove footfall from the University of Edinburgh library through the Grassmarket Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile At the same time team members were challenged to participate in collaborative team activities and photo challenges When time was up the group came together for a light hearted presentation of their photos and a prize giving session Participant event feedback was reviewed post event Who took part Oriental undergraduate students who had enrolled with Visit University to experience a variety of universities and what they offered It also provided the students with an opportunity to meet with lecturers view facilities and make new friends What they said Visit University approached Maximillion seeking an interesting way to engage a number of visiting groups from China in the city of Edinburgh The Wildgoose game proved to be the perfect way to do this Content and timings could be easily altered to ensure the game was really suitable for each of the groups The format of the activity was new to the participants and therefore really interesting and the event management provided

    of 94 Objectives With a new regional leader recruited for their Clinical Operations function for Boehringer Ingelheim China Ltd we were approached to design a two day programme around leadership culture and engagement Our objective was to work closely designing a unique programme that would support the organisation s strategic priorities Experienced Maximillion Lead Facilitator Victoria Russell had already worked with Boehringer Ingelheim leaders in 2013 and 2014 and was invited again to work through further close consultation preparing and designing a unique programme as part of their learning week What we did Our programme involved considerable preparation with a core team in advance of the delivery including the Regional Head Corporate The final programme design was condensed into a two day facilitated programme in Shanghai during June 2015 The first day of the programme was focused on working with the Clinical Operations leadership team and helped them shape a specific mission vision and values The second day was an ambitious piece of facilitation with the full function team which involved 94 staff from around China Hong Kong and Taiwan This was an interactive day that included team presentations case studies and exercises to explore values and engagement This identified additional values that were important to driving forward the function and developed new skills and approaches to challenge staff with their roles within the company Who took part Boehringer Ingelheim China Ltd Clinical Operations leadership and functional teams What they said James Cheung Head Clinical Operations ROPU TCM at Boehringer Ingelheim Victoria is an excellent trainer and training facilitator She is able to bring good insight feedback and recommendation to any training workshops from her wealth of experience and her sharpness in picking things up She puts in a lot of efforts in preparing for her workshops and is also

    eating options In addition GCU saw the opportunity to offer on the Main Event day of 10th June something team based and competitive that was in line with the theme of the week and Street Olympics provided a great fit To coincide with Men s Health Week the Main Event day was also a dedicated Wear Blue Day to raise awareness of Prostate Scotland a charity that provides information advice and help on prostate health What we did One of the big draws on the afternoon of Main Event day was our Street Olympics treasure hunt challenge designed around the city centre to engage staff teams many sporting blue in recognition of Wear Blue Day The goal To get out and about in the city and have some sporting fun Each armed with an iPad mini pre loaded with the game and its live scoreboard teams used the on screen mapping technology to visit the GPS hotspots around the city On reaching hotspots challenges were activated on screen and teams completed a variety of sports themed questions and tasks They also used their skills to capture their efforts by photo and video on the iPad for the judges to score Who took part Ten mixed staff teams from across a variety of University departments from the Glasgow Campus took part Teams were also invited to select a team name build their team spirit and had the option to raise funds for Prostate Scotland at the same time What they said Here s what some of the staff who took part said Was so much fun Wish we could do it again Best fun I ve had in ages When is the next one Melanie Armstrong lead for the H WB Week programme of activities and events said this Our vision
