    allows the athlete to advance into the next round at a greater height The competition is determined by the highest successful toss with fewest misses being used to break tie scores Don t fret if a 4 stone weight sounds beyond your group s capability at MadMax we can scale the challenge to suit any competitor The MadMax Tyre Flip Relay Race Two tractor tyres don t sound like much fun but when you have two teams fighting out for ultimate bragging rights they quickly become one of the highlights of our Highland Games The group will split into two teams and compete against each other in an unconventional relay race Team tactics are key as the whole team can share the work as they attempt to flip there tractor tyre weighing in excess of 50kg 4 lengths of the Games field or they can split down further to keep some fresh legs for the final push to victory This is definitely one for competitors and spectators alike The Famous Scottish Soft Drink That Is Made from Girders and is Orange challenge No trip to Scotland can be complete without suitable consumption of a certain well known Scottish soft drink so to build up a thirst for said beverage we have the ultimate challenge to end your Highland Games in style Your group will nominate the hardiest individuals to compete in a one on one battle of strength mental focus and determination Each competitor will take hold of two 2 litre bottles hold them at arm s length and remain there against the clock and against their competitor First to let their arms drop is the loser and the winner gets their time placed on our Wall of Fame Highland Games works particularly well as a Stag or Hen activity

    questions Name Elina Leskinen Tell us a little about your background I grew up in a small village in Southern Finland After high school I lived in Barcelona for 8 months working as an au pair Last year I did college exchange in Canada I ve never felt like I belong in Finland What made you want to undertake an internship with Maximillion I m studying for an undergraduate degree in Hospitality Management I ve been going back and forth between hotel and event work but my interests lie more in events management I wanted to come to the UK and Maximillion seemed like an excellent option It still does What are you looking to gain out of your time at Maximillion As much experience as possible in all the different areas of the business and ultimately a career in events I m confident that Maximillion is able to provide me with the most valuable of introductions into the business What are your career aspirations I ve been very indecisive about what I want to do when I grow up but now that I ve scratched the surface of the event industry I m quite certain I ve found the answer Now for some would you rathers Would you rather go back in time to meet your ancestors or jump forward in time to meet your great grandchildren why I ve always been very curious about the future so I d choose the latter It would be amazing or awful to see where this insanely fast development leads to Attend school in Hogwarts or live in Narnia why Hogwarts No doubt I m a massive Potter geek I may or may not have a wee Potter tattoo Take a cultural city break or a relaxing beach break why A cultural

    know their Northern Soul Band name This for those of you who don t know is derived from your grandmothers name the city town you were born in and the first car you owned of drove Just thought it would keep things interesting Glen Gardiner Joins the team as our Activity Centre Manager looking after both MadMax Adventures and Turnberry Adventures Glen comes with a wealth of experience in this area having worked at Extreme Karting for the past 7 years Glen will also be out and about on other events getting to know the full Maximillion portfolio Northern Soul Band Name Margaret Falkirk and the Polos Rhona Smith Joins the team as our Sales Manager Whilst Rhona has a wealth of experience in business development this will be her first job in the events sector and her first challenge will to be to bring herself up to speed with not just our range of services but the complexities of our market Rhona s priority will be to build on our existing client relationships and develop new ones to assist with our growth strategy Northern Soul Band Name Rose Perth and the Puntos Danielle Kydd Joins the team as our Events Executive Danielle started with the company as an intern in January 2014 and was then working as a freelance member of our events team whilst she completed her Masters Danielle will be supporting on the design and delivery of our events so you will no doubt see her out and about Northern Soul Band Name Lillian Derry and the Colts Callum Ross Joins the team as our Assistant Activity Centre Manager at Turnberry Adventures to support Martin Lawson our Activity Centre Manager on the ground Callum has a background in events acquired during his time at working at Kelburn

    an illness that affects so many of us directly and indirectly My rowing partner James also recently lost his father Jimmy to cancer too so our choice of charities was easy We wish to raise funds for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation where the money goes to research into early detection and prevention of cancer We also wish to support Macmillan and Marie Curie who gave our loved ones and family such excellent support during a very difficult time Finally as former Army officers we selected the Soldiers Sailors and Airmen s Families Association SSAFA who provide support to all servicemen and their families in times of need If you choose to make a donation using our online page you can do so knowing that every penny of your donation will go directly to our selected charities as the expenses of the event are being met by me personally We have a growing bunch of kind sponsors who are supporting us with some of our expedition costs which means that more money will go to our charities Maximillion kindly provided a home for Bonnie Lass rent free for a year Port Edgar Marina Ltd now allow us to keep the boat there and launch and recover for free Royal Forth Yacht Club provide a safety boat and fuel to cover our training rows Stylo Sports provide gel rowing seat covers and exciting new sports hydration product Coco5 will slake our thirst We still need help with expedition food and transporting the boat back from Denmark please Some of you reading this may know that I am a member of Maximillion Learning Development s team of Facilitators I also used to be the Operations Director at Maximillion and I am drawing on many of the skills that were required in that
