  • Customers disappointed from iTunes mobile phone
Financial analysts Bloomberg are reporting that the iTunes mobile phone is returned as much as 6 times more than other phones Technology analysts have reacted unfavourably to the newly launched iTunes equipped Motorola Rokr mobile phone Motorola CEO Ed Zander said People were looking for an iPod and that s not what it is We may have missed the marketing message there The iTunes phone was launched with great fanfare coupled with immediate disappointment from Apple fans Motorola sold 250 000 iTunes phones since its release about 83 000 a week RAZR has sold 6 5 million in the same period or 500 000 per week So there is obviously something not quite right Apple and Motorola have deluded themselves into thinking that this is such a hot product When people look into the features they will find out that it is not that great said Ken Dulaney vice president of mobile and wireless at analyst firm Gartner The linking of the phone to iTunes is the amazing part But the implementation sounds a little weak to me When MGFs initially saw pre release pictures and information on the ROKR we dismissed them as fakes it didn t look like an Apple product We were later surprised to see the phone we had seen previously to actually be the real model Apple is known for their legendary interface design the iPod itself is an example of this The interface of the ROKR is not on a par with the iPod or indeed iTunes The phone s design itself looks dated big and bulky Maybe if the phone was like the Razr and Apple did the interface the phone would be a success It looks like something from the late 90s not the 21st century Apple sell on style both in
