    I hope to have captured the essence of the Art Nouveau style and period I ve created this 615mm x 405mm piece using Vitreous Glass Tiles Light Of The Dragonfly I ve always loved the designs of the stained glass Tiffany Lamps The Dragonfly lamp was one of the studios finest and most successful works as they were seen as symbols of hope and joy This 610mm square piece has been inspired by such designs and hopefully shows my adherence to Tiffany s Art Nouveau aesthetics of simple form harmonious colours and the beauties of commonplace nature This piece is made using Vitreous Glass tiles and offset with cabochon glass pieces which were commonly seen in Tiffany Lamps Contact Details katy lewis btinternet com Green Bird Finches Alison Hepburn Green Bird Hand made polymer clay tiles with faux metal finish stained and vitreous glass slumped glass micro tiles gold smalti and swarovski crystals This mosaic was inspired by some metal embossed Art nouveau tiles that I saw as a teenager Individually they were beautiful and quite simple but when put together the confident combination created a sense of opulence and a deceptively complex pattern I have hand made the tiles
