    place between 1 March and 1 June inclusive Meetings should not commence before 6 00 p m The purpose of the meeting is so that the Town Council can explain what it has been doing over the last year and it enables the electors to have their say on anything they consider is important to the people of the Parish The Annual Parish Meeting is a meeting of all the local government electors for the Parish It is NOT a Meeting of the Town Council which the public can participate in Anyone may attend but only registered electors of the Parish may speak and vote It is common practice to invite local clubs societies and other voluntary and statutory organisations to provide an exhibition and or a representative to speak about the work of their group Planning Committee The Planning Committee comprises the full membership of the Town Council and generally meets on the third Monday of the month in the Council Chamber The main role of the Committee is to consider planning applications as a statutory consultee to Cornwall Council Details of planning applications are published on Cornwall Council s online planning register and local residents are encouraged to submit their comments in addition to the Town Council s representations Meetings of the Planning Committee are open to the public Staffing Committee The Staffing Committee meets ad hoc to consider staffing issues Although meetings are technically open to the public the majority of items on the agenda are likely to be in confidential session due to the nature of the business The following Councillors are appointed to the Committee Mrs M V Bennett Mrs G A Grant J Langan Mrs M K May M Mullins Mrs S Peters M Snowdon and E L Wilkes Whilst meetings of the Staffing
