Events Weddings Volunteer in Penryn Exchequer Quay Gallery Links News Contact Us Town Team Visit Penryn Town Team Penryn Town Team Blog Penryn Town Team is a new organisation that has been formed to provide a focal point for the existing and fast emerging business and creative communities within our historic town The guiding principle of this new organisation is that the many local community educational and business groups that Penryn is fortunate enough to have could have an even greater impact on the future prosperity of the town if a forum existed where they could meet exchange ideas and work together to deliver a co ordinated plan Building on best practice from Town Forums and Business Improvement Districts elsewhere a steering group of local people with diverse skills experience and knowledge has been established to develop the Penryn Town Team with the help of co opted members who will deliver specific goals through task and finish projects Penryn Town Team is supported by but is not part of Penryn Town Council It is a stand alone independent group that recognises the limitations faced by the Town Council in terms of fundraising and campaigning Penryn Town Team intends to use its independence to pursue funding streams for the betterment of the town that are not accessible by the Council because of statutory limitations Although Penryn Town Team is in its infancy the steering group is already investigating projects that could be delivered and potential funding streams that could be accessed in order to achieve them Penryn Town Team hopes that anyone who lives works or has a connection with the town will support and engage with its endeavours and view it as a force for good Penryn Town Team is not a closed shop and welcomes representation from local groups
