    moved to the IOW and joined Pet Doctors in Lake in March 2015 Nuria has an interest in medicine cases and in her spare time enjoys walking with her english setter Tac Jayne Merryweather Lewis ANA RVN A1 Head Veterinary Nurse Jayne Qualified from Myerscough veterinary nursing college in 2006 and has been veterinary nursing for 18 years 11 of these years spent with Pet Doctors She enjoys all aspects of her job role and has a special interest in nurse clinics and diagnostic imaging She is also a qualified veterinary nurse training assessor and is currently mentoring Frances our new student veterinary nurse Alison Smith Bsc Hons RVN Veterinary Nurse Alison has been nursing since 2006 where she trained for 4 years and graduated from The Royal Veterinary College She has continued to cultivate a keen interest in Surgical Nursing and animal behavior Alison joined us in May 2009 as a trainee progressing to full time since completing her degree in July 2010 Alison has always had a keen interest in animals owning a Springer Spaniel called Bracken Alison enjoys horse riding and most recently has taken to a new venture Sailing Frances Jones SVN Student Veterinary Nurse Frances who originally trained to be a zoo keeper joined Pet Doctors in August 2008 She is currently in her second year as a student veterinary nurse and will become a fully qualified VN in 2016 Frances shares her home with 2 labradors 1 terrier 2 cats 1 horse and her husband and their daughter In her spare time she enjoys horse riding Rachael McKeon AKA Mac VCA SVN Student Veterinary Nurse Mac joined the Lake team in May 2015 and has settled in well She previously worked in a large corporate veterinary practice in West London but she chose to leave the city life behind her for a more relaxed life by the sea and is enjoying her time on the Isle of Wight In her spare time Mac enjoys baking and bringing in her cakes for the team at Lake to devour reading and sightseeing Mac has a real passion for animals but a special soft spot for Beagles and is currently on the lookout for a beagle puppy to call her own Rachel Appleby Receptionist Rachel Joined our Lake team in 2014 and has since proved herself to be a very valuable member of the Lake team Rachel shares her home with her partner and their slightly overweight cat Heathcliff The other love in Rachels life is Bertha her 33 year old campervan Rachel has always had a passion for animals and has spent several months working in wildlife conservation areas in Africa Thailand and Malaysia and she is now enjoying her role within the Lake clinic Rachel loves welcoming the clients to the clinic and if we ever lose her she can usually be found cuddling the puppies and kittens that come in on a daily basis Laura Brodie Receptionist Laura joined Pet Doctors in 2014 and
