  • Storm and Gail - Popham Alpacas
January 2016 by Gary Sanders We had a visit from the Botus WI last night and they enquired about Storm and Gail These were two cria that were born during the last WI visit on a very bad day weather wise I thought it about time I put some upto date pictures of the two on the blog Storm is the fawn boy sired by Little Legend and Gail the white huacaya girl sired by Alamo Still no further results on the unwell mum but she is not declining in anyway Her cria is reluctantly taking milk from the bottle Unlike other animals alpacas seem to have the attitude that they would rather die than take milk from a bottle The heavily pregnant mums are still holding on even though the sun is out today We are away for the weekend taking alpacas to various places so they will probably all arrive then and put Jess under real pressure Posted in Cria Post navigation Previous Post Fawn suri cria Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published Required fields are marked Comment Name Email Website All Alpacas for Sale Female Alpacas for sale Stud Male Alpacas

his farm due to the wet conditions That leaves alot of fat pigeons Today about 75 Egyptian geese landed in the field next to ours exactly where alot of this wastage had occurred Today was a very busy day After all the gloomy weather forecasts we decided not to go the Kingsbridge show and spent the day catching up on alot of husbandry issues and the neverending spit offs The results were very pleasing with only one female Honey bunch sitting Even with the influences of BTV8 I feel our new feeding regime is working Maybe the best way to a happy alpaca is through it s tummy Tomorrow we are going to combine Group1 2 together into one field Hopefully I will be able to catch a few pictures of the excitement Posted in Cria Post navigation Latest arrival Fresh fields One thought on Mark Steele says 7th September 2008 at 6 52 am Gary I am intrigued by your comment about a new feeding regime and how it may be helping pregnancies Any chance of letting us in on the secret Always looking for new ideas to make things go smoother I enjoy the blog always great photos
