    Best Sport Tynedale Awards Yet On Mon 21 12 2015 14 48 Posted In Hot Off The Press Red Hot Property was privileged to play its part in this year s 2015 Sport Tynedale Awards on Sunday 13th December The fantastic evening recognised a wealth of young sporting talent from around our region and provided specific category awards and scholarship support to the winners The awards were presented by sporting legends Steve Cram and Allison Curbishly Red Hot Property for the second year running provided the scholarship funding to the Stan Calvert Bursary which provides financial support to an up and coming star to assist with the additional cost of competing at the higher levels This year s Scholarship was awarded to Prudhoe based Zac Allin an exciting young canoe slalom prospect who has been selected this year to join the British Junior Team having demonstrated enormous talent and commitment to his sport His efforts and achievements also saw him win the Young Sportsman of the Year Award on the night Last year s Scholarship winner Max Pearson also got his chance to outline to the audience how the financial support had assisted his progress throughout the year Max continues to perform at a high level and is proving himself to be a real contender amongst top athletes The event was superbly organised and created a flurry of social media activity immediately afterwards The post of winners by the Courant reached more than 4 000 people in the space of two hours and Chairman of Sport Tynedale Edward Heslop received some hugely encouraging email feedback and thanks The evening was held at the Wentworth Leisure Centre in Hexham A grand marquee was in place complete with lights music and plenty of action At the finale some tremendous prizes were won
