  • Nia, creativity, colour and chakras
It wasn t just the beautiful colourful silks designed and created by stallholder Sophie that kept my eye and energy coming back Or the delicate and unusual chakra stone jewellery It was to put it simply the amazing energy coming from the colours themselves We had touched on chakras in our Nia White Belt Training And yet this was something else I love colour and I need colour in my life at all times So imagine my excitement to learn that each one of our seven main chakras specific energy fields that relate to different parts of our body has a corresponding energy field colour Red for base Orange for sacral Yellow for solar plexus Green for heart Turquoise blue for throat Indigo Blue for third eye and Violet Purple for the crown A creative rainbow of colours The seven chakras and where they are found Oh joy A creative rainbow of colours that s vibrating around us at all times And from which we can tap into our physical emotional and spiritual beings to bring healing balance joy health and creativity into our lives And what possibilities I m starting small with a delicate Tumblestone Chakra bracelet that reminds me of each colour and its associated crystal But what next One thing s for sure Now I understand why I surrounded myself with so much orange when I was a teenager It was my orange sacral chakra at play encouraging me to experiment create express and explore Wonderful Share this article Share on Facebook Opens in new window Click to share on Twitter Opens in new window Click to share on Pinterest Opens in new window Click to share on LinkedIn Opens in new window creativity Nia Related By Category Creativity with wonderful word clouds Word of the week

  • Words of the Week - Twitterpated vs Atrabilious - Sarah Gibbs
of these wonderful words have associations with joyous Disney movies even better In Bambi Friend Owl tells Bambi that nearly everybody gets twitterpated in springtime I must remember to say it next spring And in Lewis Carrol s Alice Through the Looking Glass soon to be a Disney movie the Jabberwock sings O frabjous Day Wonderful wonderful words Exploring these two words has reminded me how wonderful words can be and how grateful I am for being able to string words together for the benefit of others for my freelance working I am a web content writer and use words to promote others businesses on the web Apparently according to Pareto s 80 20 principle we can get by on knowing 2 500 3000 words for us to be able to read and understand 90 95 of everyday texts and conversations This seems a bit sad considering all the wonderful words out there in the English language that we don t use let alone that perhaps we don t know even exist So I ve decided every time a new word pops up on Dictionary com that I like I m going to make a BIG effort to write it down enjoy it as much as I can and use it to my heart s content in both writing and speech For words are of course the most powerful drug used by mankind Rudyard Kipling Share this article Share on Facebook Opens in new window Click to share on Twitter Opens in new window Click to share on Pinterest Opens in new window Click to share on LinkedIn Opens in new window web content writing working freelance Related By Category Word of the week JUGGLING Word of the week GROUNDED Word of the week courage Word of the week skeleton

  • Ideas are like fish - Sarah Gibbs
They re huge and abstract And they re very beautiful Quote by film maker David Lynch from his book Catching the Big Fish Meditation Consciousness and Creativity My now late cousin James Gibbs loved fish and meditation he followed the Buddhist faith I have been promoting his beautiful Fish Art since 2009 David Lynch s quote above got me thinking about how much I like the creative comparison between ideas and fish Yes ideas pop into our heads all the time and keep swimming around like fish Until we either dig deeper with them and explore their depth or let them go James s Fish Art paintings often explore this concept of fish swimming around together on the surface or diving deeper into the depths Take a look here So from now on I m going to think of my ideas as fish Not only will this remind me of the beauty of James s fish art and its joy colour vibrancy and magic every time I get an idea It will help me to decide whether my idea is a surface swimmer or an exploration of something deeper Here s a thought to leave you with If you catch an idea that you love then that s a beautiful beautiful day quote by David Lynch Share this article Share on Facebook Opens in new window Click to share on Twitter Opens in new window Click to share on Pinterest Opens in new window Click to share on LinkedIn Opens in new window creativity Fish Art Related By Category All things creative is risen again Word of the week Fish Making resolutions Related Posts By Tags Creativity with colour and chakras Creativity with wonderful word clouds Creativity in pottery Keep Calm and dance through life Creative thoughts CAN make things
