  • Word of the week - GROUNDED - Sarah Gibbs
m going to try and use these words as much as I can so they become part of my life Word of the Week GROUNDED Wow This word is certainly versatile a child can be grounded say at home for having done something wrong a plane can be grounded when it s gone wrong someone can be described as being grounded when they are not wrong but are being solid and stable if a computer is not properly grounded it can go wrong we can all feel grounded when we take off our shoes and socks and sense the earth beneath our feet being grounded can mean being fully conscious and fully present in the NOW I seem to be using the word grounded a lot at the moment Why I ask myself It could be because I enjoy feeling grounded during Nia practice Or it could be because I m looking to feel more grounded again so I can re start my Nia classes Or it could simply be that it s a reminder that grounded is good We remember to connect to the earth like a tree and to become grounded so that we can fly positively through life in lots of different ways and to cope with life s challenges along the way So I say thanks to the word grounded and for reminding me of its solid roots What does the word GROUNDED mean to you Share this article Share on Facebook Opens in new window Click to share on Twitter Opens in new window Click to share on Pinterest Opens in new window Click to share on LinkedIn Opens in new window web content writing Related By Category Words of the Week Twitterpated vs Atrabilious Word of the week JUGGLING Word of the week courage
