leading cause of injury for children according to the latest research And the frightening fact is that almost two thirds of adults are not aware they could be sued if a child gets injured Dave said in the last 12 months 3 9 million people have had a child injured on their property and that s despite the children being supervised in four out of five cases Figures revealed by a major national insurer showed they had received individual claims of up to 100 000 after children were injured on bouncy castles trampolines and rope swings These are incredible figures and a claim like that would mean many parents would have to sell their family home to cover the costs of such a payout if they did not have the right kind of insurance cover in place which would of course be devastating said Dave In the UK bouncy castles and trampolines account for nine per cent of child injuries followed by slides which cause seven per cent and climbing frames and trees cause six per cent of injuries Parents would be wise to check their home insurance policy to see if it includes an element of public liability cover as this could offer crucial protection if an accident should happen on your property said Dave It s a simple hard fact of life that although bouncy castles and trampolines are great fun for children the consequences they can bring can be life changing So it s crucial that adults check the small print before inviting their child s friends round to play just to protect their family from any possible risk SHARE Facebook Twitter tweet Previous article New 300 000 training academy opens at Shropshire manufacturing firm Next article Apprentices solve recruitment riddle for Shropshire technology company Carl Jones
