  • SilverWood Books - Out of Darkness
fail to inspire Out of Darkness is the author s second collection of verse Raw Emotion A Collection of Thoughts In Rhyme was published in 2011 Jane was a registered nurse and retired from the profession due to debilitating chronic ill health During the devastating months that followed Jane first discovered her passion for writing Jane s poems are written in rhyming verse and are of an emotive theme Although many will take the reader on an insightful journey through a life blighted by illness there are equally as many which will inspire the reader or just simply touch hearts Jane believes the ability to translate her thoughts into beautiful meaningful verse has become her sanctuary I ve found this place inside my head Where I record my thoughts in rhyme It really is a delightful place And whiles away the time The words transpire and then they flow Like music to my ears It offers me a sanctuary And erases all my fears I started writing verse quite late in life It quickly became the catharsis which helped me through some difficult times Now it has become a way of life Inspiration flows like rhythm in my mind I always aim to arouse emotion in the reader be it happy or sad through heartfelt words not elaborate ones just words everyone can relate to Writing in rhyme is the style I am most comfortable with Jane lives in the tranquil surroundings of the Ribble Valley a divorced mother of three grown up children she still has to cope with the unpredictable nature of her illness Inspired by her daily struggles Jane continues to share aspects of her life through her thoughts in rhyme in this her second publication Jane s poetry certainly touched my heart I think the reason
