    a fantastic platform for individuals to push their own brand by imparting their own individual knowledge and wisdom to unsuspecting connections This in turn would push the brand of their employer to new and previously unseen heights The evolution of LinkedIn has actually benefitted recruitment companies and certain in house recruiters Additions such as adding skills to a profile has made searching for a particular set of expertise easier and candidates easier to find assuming they have the knowledge of how LinkedIn works Emails are sent out to all members on LinkedIn on a weekly basis of the jobs you may be interested in These emails include a brief job advert a picture of the consultant and an accessible link to the company profile page Assuming all individual profiles are set up correctly and the company profile is detailed succinct and accurate this is a great way to not only advertise yourself but also your employer or brand LinkedIn has made changing your job much easier You may be happy in your particular role at the moment but it s hard to ignore the bombardment of communication promising greater riches career progression and ultimately unimaginable success This poses a number of questions will LinkedIn be the platform that reduces the average time spent in a particular role Does this therefore put the onus back on companies to up their employee retention rates One thing s for sure recruitment has just been made a lot easier for businesses if they choose to go it alone LinkedIn has an advantage over traditional job boards because of network verification However LinkedIn is not yet a perfect recruiting database But surely everyone acknowledges that LinkedIn is continually improving its recruitment capability and other services If LinkedIn keeps growing and improving at its current rate
