    Food Train Food Train EXTRA Food Train Friends Outreach Library Service Meal Makers Regional Branches Dumfries Galloway West Lothian Stirling Dundee Glasgow Renfrewshire North Ayrshire Our Services Food Train Find out more here Food Train EXTRA Find out more Food Train Friends Find out more Food Train Outreach Library Service Find out more Meal Makers Meal Makers is a project that connects people who love cooking and are happy to share an extra portion of a delicious home cooked meal with an older neighbour How does it work Our Meal Makers volunteer Cooks love cooking and they want to share their delicious food and get to know people in their local area Customers or Diners are matched with a Cook in their local area who will bring round an extra portion of their home cooked food at a time agreed by both parties Meal sharing can occur as often as the Cook and Diner would like whether that is weekly fortnightly or just now and again Cooks are required to sign up online https www mealmakers org uk cooks sign up and undertake a safeguarding process before being connected with a local Diner We currently offer our Meal Makers Service

    Business Plan Login Become a Member Volunteer Donate Vacancies Follow via Facebook Follow via Twitter Also from Food Train Our Services Become a Member Food Train Food Train EXTRA Food Train Friends Outreach Library Service Meal Makers Regional Branches Dumfries Galloway West Lothian Stirling Dundee Glasgow Renfrewshire North Ayrshire Food Train Local volunteers provide weekly deliveries of fresh groceries to older people experiencing difficulties doing their weekly grocery shopping ensuring thay can eat well live well and age well How does it work The shopping delivery service is a simple process Customers complete a blank shopping list which is collected by our volunteers a blank shopping list is left with customer for next time Shopping is completed and delivered by our volunteers at local shops on a nominated day Shopping is delivered in a box which is unpacked by volunteers Volunteers will also put things away if needed Customer pays for shopping and the 3 delivery charge cash or cheque is acceptable Who can use the Food Train Customers must be 65 and over this is due to the type of funding we receive Customers must be unable or have difficulty getting their grocery shopping How much does it cost
