    Train News Events National News Dumfries Galloway News West Lothian News Stirling News Dundee News Glasgow News Renfrewshire News North Ayrshire News News Events 20th Nov 2012 Stirling Food Train celebrates its 1st birthday Food Train has been successfully shopping and delivering groceries for the older people of Stirling since 14th November 2011 With over 100 customers and a team of nearly 50 volunteers the service runs 4 days a week with 2 vans out each day and supports customers in Stirling Dunblane Bridge of Allan plus many rural villages and towns including Callander Brig O Turk Killin and Aberfoyle to name but a few Local volunteers met together to reflect on the first full year of service and shared some birthday cake to celebrate its success Feedback from customers has been very positive and a recent survey demonstrated a very favourable response in all questions asked Volunteers are now looking forward to the year ahead and welcoming many more older people to get on board Tweet 20th Sep 2012 MSP visit to Food Train Annabelle Ewing Regional MSP for Central Scotland and Fife visited Food Train premises on 11th September to meet staff and to learn more about the services offered in Stirling and the surrounding areas She was very enthusiastic about the benefits that a shopping and delivery service can bring to an older person s life at home and keen to see Food Train expand across Scotland Annabelle was complimentary about the dedication and committment of local volunteers who allow the Food Train service to happen 52 weeks a year and will watch with interest to see the developments that lie ahead for the Stirling branch Tweet 2nd Jul 2012 We have moved After 2 years based in Bathgate it was time to find somewhere bigger and
