    Follow via Twitter Also from Food Train Get Involved Donate Set up a Regular Gift Payroll Giving Leaving a Legacy Sponsor a Box Volunteer Why Volunteer What Can I Do Volunteer Now Make us Your Charity What Can I Do We have a variety of roles depending on which region you are in and which part of Food Train you want to volunteer with Food Train Driver Accompanied by delivery helpers our volunteer drivers will collect shopping lists from customer s homes load orders from shops deliver orders to customers and unpack shopping Food Train supplies vans for this work so volunteers do not need to own or use their own vehicles Driving normally requires at least a full day commitment Helper If you can spare one day per week or fortnight then you could go out with The Food Train van around the area collecting shopping lists or making grocery deliveries to our customers providing vital social contact for isolated people Shopper Our volunteer shoppers shop from the orders that customers have written Effective checking of the order whilst shopping makes sure that our customers get what they want Volunteer shoppers generally shop weekly or fortnightly It is also
